Question for Students

Just curious if you are finding out if your fellow classmates chose nursing because there is a shortage and a good starting salary?

Or do you think most of them are in the nursing program becuase they want to HELP people?

Both. But, as both of my ex-wives went to this school in years past, I have noticed that most those who are here for just the "big pay" either dont make it or dont last long.

Or else I would have been here 10 years ago. Now I have what they phrase as "the calling".

But the pay is still important, I just couldnt do it it that was the only reason to be in this field.

i have always wanted to be a nurse ever since i can remember. i really was not sure how much they made until one of my cousins entered the field, and i did some investigating once i was sure that is what i wanted to do. i am finally able to do what i have always wanted, of course with the help of my wonderful hubby and kids. but also the money does help!!!
