Hi,
I start with Eastern Michigan's nursing program this September and I am debating what stethoscope to buy. I have minimal hearing loss in both ears which does not really impact my normal hearing. I wonder if I should by a cardiology stethoscope just to be on the safe side. I would love some advice.

I would start with a cheapie and see how you hear with that first - if it doesn't work you aren't out a lot of money. I was fine with my $9 stethoscope until I got an upgrade for my birthday. The best thing was - no one seems to "walk away" with the $9 stethoscope...
You'll probably have the chance to try out other stethoscopes when school starts (classmates, instructors, etc.) and can see what you need/like before spending a ton.

I couldn't jack through the sprague $10 special my school issued me. I then got a prestige littman knockoff. Tiny bit better. Now my cardio 3 heaven. I could heard so much more than my classmates. Though I would settle for a classic.
