What are some good reference books for geriatric NP who will deal exclusively with geriatric population. I have no experience with this population at all and needless to say will be my potential first job as a NP. Any suggestions or tips will be appreciated.

The Oxford American Handbook of Geriatric Medicine edited by Durso is the best resource I have found for geriatric medicine. It is broken down by systems, and is a terrific resource and very easy to use as a quick reference. It is only about 30 bucks on Amazon---definitely get this book if you will be working geriatrics! hope this helps. Tracey
