Question re: application process from MA RN/NP license to CA.

I have heard so many comments about the long time frame in which it takes to process a CA RN/NP license application. Here is my situation.

I sent all of the application requirements to the board about 4 to 6 weeks ago, including fingerprint card. I also had all of the other documents sent in from undergrad and grad programs, as well as AANP. I understand that it takes about 8 to 10 weeks to process an application, but 4 to 6 weeks in, I noticed that neither the 75 dollar check for the board of nursing, nor the 49 dollar check to process my fingerprints, have been deposited. I can't reach anyone via telephone and no one has responded to multiple e-mails.

What kind of time frame did anyone else experience regarding the deposit of checks sent in? I would feel better knowing at least they WERE deposited, because it would make me feel like my application wasn't still sitting on a desk a month later, but at least undergoing review.
