Question- OR to PACU

Question- can an RN with OR experience transfer to PACU or is ICU experience needed to become a PACU nurse? Thanks in advance!

This will be 100% facility dependent. There are some facilities that will not consider those without critical care experience and there are some that will. Once upon a time, one of the PACUs in my facility accepted new grads.

I work in the OR currently...however, I did start at my hospital as a new grad in the PACU. I do not think I would recommend any do that, as I feel like I struggled because I did not have any sort of baseline. I agree with above though, that it is facility dependent.
