Question about online study

Hi!

Right now I'm a CNA and I want to become an RN. I need to get my Associates degree in liberal arts first before I can apply to a nursing program. I'm leaning toward getting my A.A.S degree online. My question is, do you think it's a good idea?? My BF attended Kaplan online so that's one of the schools I requested info from. The University Of Phoenix is another one. I want to do this online because it's super convenient! I have two kids, my BF works and right now we only have 1 car which he uses to get back and forth to and from work. I want to make sure I make the right decision beofre I go ahead and sign up. So what do you think??

I think no.

Check into your local community colleges. Your state university system probably has something set up that will help you to reach your goals at a fraction of the cost.

More research - Google the name of your state and university for a start.

Many local community colleges have online classes so the majority of your classes can be online (for the AA or AAS portion of a regular degree). The other schools might be well known but they are very pricey compared to your local cc. From there, you could even get accepted into their LPN program and bridge over or go directly into the RN as long as you maintain your grades.
