Question about new test format and ATT

Nursing Students NCLEX

Published

Hi, I'm from Columbus, Ohio and just graduated and I am waiting to receive my ATT, does any one know how long it takes to receive the ATT? And can anyone give me feedback on how it was taking NCLEX in its new format (multiple response, fill in the blank, touch screen)?

Thanks

Hi!

I graduated May 15 - all the paperwork was filed with the BON and Pearson well in advance - back in late March.

After graduation, I got my ATT via email on June 4 (I think I got it via snail mail three or four days later - which didn't matter). The day I received my ATT via email, scheduled my exam for as early as I could get it, which was yesterday, June 21.

The computer shut down for me at question 75, and I didn't get any of the new format questions (I had even bought a special review book of nothing BUT new format questions). I used the calculator for one question. The Pearson center where I took it didn't have a touch screen - just a plain old mouse.

Hope this helps.

Hi,

I'm in Florida and the state board of nursing here really screwed me up (and a few others in the class). I had heard of others having problems and called the Florida Board of Nursing (FBN) on June 4th asking about my ATT I had submitted the beginning of May. They told me they had sent my approval to Pearson on May 24. Called Pearson and they said, "no way." Called back the FBN and they pushed me to five different people before admitting they screwed up. Said it wouldn't be out til the following week.

If I were you, I'd call your state board. You have nothing to lose.

good luck,

Phil

Took NCLEX-RN on June 15, 2004, found out I passed on June 17, 2004. I had one new format question ( select all that apply) and no math at all. GOOD LUCK!!! Keep us posted.:balloons: :balloons:

congratulations on graduating!

I am not sure if you count a picture question as a new format question. If it is then I had one new format question. The ATT was availble within two weeks of graduation.

I got my ATT about 3 weeks after doing the paper work-I got mine the same day a classmate got her Temp Practice Permit (we're in PA).

I got three new test formats (took mine in OCt 2003). I got a check all that apply and two med math that I had to "write in" the answer.

Best of Luck

I tested on June 16 with 75 questions (and passed ) and I had one select all that apply question. No math questions at all.

As far as that darned ATT - it varies widely state to state. I graduated on June 4 and got my ATT via e-mail on June 10. I wanted it quickly, so I scheduled my test for June 16 and was willing to drive to a testing center over an hour away - otherwise I would have had to wait until the end of June to take the exam locally. FYI - you can take the NCLEX in any state, regardless of where you are going to be licensed - so if you're looking for a specific date, don't be afraid to widen your search...

Good luck!:)

Sorry I posted above- forgot to say- 3 new format in 75 questions !
