Question about Ivy Tech Nursing Program.....

Published

I am a little confused. I have 4 classes to take before entering the Nursing Program for my LPN. What is confusing me is this:

I was told that after completing those 4 classes, I could then apply for the clinicals. Does this mean that I won't have to take more classes? I am not sure.

I appreciate any information. UGH!! Too confusing..lol.

The four prereq classes are English 111, Psych 101, Anatomy and Physiology 101, and Anatomy and Physiology 102. You also need to take the TEAS test and go to a nursing information meeting at every campus that you are applying to. Then you apply to the nursing programs. Once you are accepted you take the actual nursing classes and clinicals.

Check out this link, it's especially for Indiana nursing schools, and there's tons of great Ivy Tech info on there - https://allnurses.com/nursing-programs-discussion/

Ok, I was curious because on the Ivy Tech website it states that it only takes a year for the LPN program, including the pre-reqs. Thanks!!
