Sep 19, 2014 Second degree students don't get as much aid, but unless she's married, she should qualify as a dependent student and will be eligible for more of the institutional grants and scholarships. If you're an independent student though (according to Emory's standards - not FAFSA), you can only receive a maximum of $6000 per year in grants and need based scholarships. 0 Likes
