I'm not sure if you'll be able to find what you're looking for. I only know how the reqs work in Ohio where I live, but to get my certification I had to enroll in a 75 hour CNA course that included 16 hours of clinicals. We had lecture as well as lab, and had to be checked off on about 15 different skills that are required by the state. So I don't know if you'll find any classes that are online, or free. My employer paid for my certification, but they are also usually offered at community colleges, technical schools and the like.
Good luck

I've never heard of a CNA class online. I do know the Red Cross gives classes in some larger cities. If you're already in nursing school, you may be able to sit for the exam now. In NC you can get CNA certification after the first semester of nursing school.

There isn't any way of taking CNA classes online, there are too many hands on experiences that you need to learn. Most vo-techs offer CNA classess however these will cost you around $400-$600, depending on your location. You could always apply to a job that offers CNA classes and they will hire you and then pay for you to take the classes and get certified, this, IMO is the best way to get the training for free. Some places already want you to be certified, but there are also a lot places that will hire you w/o the certification and then train you themselves and prepare you for the testing and certification. Good Luck!

Out here in Sacramento, the local ROP (Regional Occupational Program) offers CNA classes for free (well... you pay for your book, uniform, test, etc.... but the class itself is free). It's somewhere along the lines of 40 or 50 hours lecture and 150 hours clinical... but I can't remember. I'm not quite sure if they have a similar program in Wisconsin... however, I can't imagine taking the class online because you're going to need to have some hands-on, clinical training...
edit: I should add that it's a very good class, but it gets filled quickly, and priority is given to high school students, with the remaining seats given out based on earliest signup date(s). The website for the program (which also includes free courses for medical assistant, emt 1, etc.) is: http://www.sacrop.org (for those in the Sacramento area who are interested in taking the program)

Hey, would you possibly know if they offer those programs in Washington State? I am really interested in them,thanks.
Yikes! I'm not entirely sure about Washington State, since I know the ROP program is something regional to California (and the free programs are something that Sacramento's ROP provides).
However... I found the Washington State Workforce Training & Education Coordinating Board's website, and they gave me this information through their search engine:
http://www.wtb.wa.gov/jtr/SearchByProgram.asp?Keyword=&CIPCode=511614
I'm not sure if that helps a whole lot.. but it's the closest I could come up with. ^^;
