Hi everyone! I'm thinking about applying to Acute NP program. I left critical care 8 months ago and am working for a hospital private practice. I left for better pay and benefits. I worked in critical care for 6 years and have my CCRN. Do you think I have a shot for admission in an Acute NP program?

Thanks everyone!

Sure. My program required 2 years of ICU experience in the last 5 years. Don't wait too long to apply though, they highly favor those who are currently working ICU. As soon as I was accepted I stopped working in ICU and just kept my other casual position.

Are there also any GPA requirements? Do they look at your Nursing GPA, Science GPA, cumulative etc etc like for CRNA?

Any other tips to make you stand out amongst the other applicants? (I hear it's a small pool)

Thanks! Just piggybacking on the thread OP :)
