question A&P

Published

I just finished my General Physiology class at Los Angeles Harbor College. I'm planning on transferring to another school, but there are no anatomy classes. They are all A&P!!!

Am I screwed? Do I need to take A&P1 and A&P2, or can I skip over to A&P2.

Oh and the reason I'm transferring is because my school shut down their 8 week science programs for the summer.

I'd check with the nursing prgram you'll be applying to, but my guess would be yup. I can't imagine a nursing school would be fine with you just leaning the physiology of A&P1....not to mention, generally school's require you take A&P1 before A&P2 so it's unlikely the school's where you'd take the A&P classes would be fine with you not completing a class that has all the material of their prereq of A&P1.

Sorry, that's a bummer.....but just think how far ahead you'll be if you take A&P1?

oh man I really worked my butt off... My cohort starts in feb. I wont be able to make it If I take A&P1 and A&P2

I know schools around here ( I live in Oregon) offer the full year of A&P over the summer....maybe you could look into something like that?

Pretty much all science classes are all full now... I tried most of the CC's around my area. The school just notified us TODAY that all science courses were cancelled. They skrewed me over big time.
