Hello. I have been an LPN for over 10 years, currently back in school for RN. I am terrified that I will receive new nurse wages because they seem to be about equal with experienced LPN wages. Anyone else made this transition that can offer experience on how employers view an old LPN/ new RN?
Thank you so much!

I'm not in your geographic area, but I did make the transition from LPN to RN back in 2010. Generally, most employers were offering me new grad RN pay rates that were less than what I had been earning as an experienced LVN.
I worked in the LTC/SNF setting as an RN because it was the only specialty that offered more than what I had been earning as an LVN.
Thank you! I'm sure i will probably end up going the same route. Which is ok. Did it feel a little unfair to you also? I'm not deficient in nursing knowledge but definitely probably deficient in field knowledge. I plan on moving as soon as 6 months after my boards back out west.
