Hi everyone!
I'm in the process of applying to an array of Entry Level graduate programs, with FNP being the end goal. I'd love to stay in California, but should I go to school out of state, how hard is it to get a CA license? Any insight, or recommendations for websites to check out would be much appreciated.
Ideally insight from someone who's been through the process would be great...would you recommend it, how long did you have to stay in the state where you got your license, etc?
Thank you so much!

Each state has their own rules for obtaining a license in their state. If you are already a RN in one state, then you would want to look up the information for obtaining a license by endorsement in the other states. I have obtained a RN license by endorsement in several states (my husband was active duty). Each one had different requirements, but all were easy to do. Sometimes, they can take several weeks (up to 2-3 months) to become active though. None of the ones I dealt with had any specific rules about how long you were in the state.
