Hi and welcome to the site
You should have no problems looking for and getting a job. If looking to work abroad I would suggest checking out the International forum but still should not have any impact on looking abroad for work

As long as it is not an active PTB (and it's not anymore), then no problem.
thank you to those who reply very much appreciated thank you so much....:balloons:

I also have the same case with you. So how are you now were you able to work in a hospital?
thank you for your reply.. yes i was able to work in a government tertiary hospital now but its only a volunteer for 6 mos. im going to end my training @ aug. they dont asked for medical check up.. my ptb heals years ago... but im stil confused and thinking if i had already a scar can i still able to work abroad? how about you? what is your case about ptb? are you from phil? are u working from a hospital now?
I'm also working as a volunteer and CXR was not also a requirement then. I have a pending application in a hospital, now CXR is a requirement, and I'm scheduled next week, I'll let you know what will happen.

so what happen with you application(leader), I am also starting to apply abroad
I hope i'll pass the x rays and all. just hope and pray
I passed the medical exam... Fit to work... However because of the scar i was required to have a clearance from a pulmo doctor of which i was issued. I even asked the doctor if i still have a chance to work abroad considering my medical hx, and gave me a positive answer, all i need to secure is a clearance that i underwent the 6mos tx plus the negative latest sputum result. However i already gave up nursing, retrogression in the US isindefinITE... and i need to earn a living... Good luck drin!

Gosh! We are on the same boat. I just finished my 6-month drug treatment last june 3. I am really afraid to apply as a staff nurse because of the fear being rejected the moment they will find out my xray result. I hope and pray that the hospitals in here will give me an opportunity to work as a great nurse. :)
that is good! I am now in process of my papers abroad, and almost finish. tnx
