Long time lurker here, finally got the guts to ask the big question.
I currently work in healthcare, albiet an administrative position. I am in no way making excuses for my situation but these are the facts. When I was 19, I was alone with two kids to support. A friend of mine suggested I try exotic dancing, After working at a establishment for two weeks, the place was raided and I was charged and ultimately convicted of prostitution, nudity in a alcohol establishment, entering a house of prostitution and disorderly conduct. Prior to this I had a conviction for writing a bad check. I applied for a fingerprint card in my state (needed for nursing school) and was initally denied but approved upon appeal. This gave me a shred of hope. Would nursing be even a remote possibility for me? This was over ten years ago.. Any feedback is much appreciated.
Wow!! No response at all? Is it really that bad?
