Does age matters, when planing to become RN?
My mom decided to go back to school for nursing after she turned 50. She graduated December 2015. You are never too old for something you truly want!

Since the science courses are all 4 credit hours (with the lab included), it is fairly easy to calculate: A = 4 B = 3 C = 2 So, if you have 2 A's and 1 B, it would be 4+4+3=11 Then divide that number by the number of classes, 11/3=3.67. It is a bit more complicated for overall GPA when classes carry different weights, but this formula works for calculating science GPA. Best of luck!! Next Friday can't get here fast enough!

Tarrant County College Fall 2017
I will be 34 in April. I've been a stay at home mom for almost seven years, and my husband and I own 3 businesses. Entrepreneurship was always his dream, mine was to be a mom. Now that my two littles are in school, it is back to dream #2, nursing. What is your ideal nursing position? At this point in my life I would love a school nurse job. My babies are still young and you cannot beat the schedule. But, long term I really want to get my NP and focus on geriatrics.

The Fall 2017 application has been posted! Question for you guys: on page 3 of the application, it says for office use only, do you think that means just fill out your name and student ID # or fill it all out, just the top part is office use only?

I really like the weight training class. The MWF schedule hods me accountable, and since it is only a 1 credit hour class, it is only $59 for the semester (cheaper than a gym) and you can get as much help from your instructor as you need. Win/Win

I am ok at math. I'm hoping since I wont have a ton to do, I can devote enough time to learning it without having to go for tutoring. We will see. :)

Am I "late"? 22 yrs old starting prereq Jan
I am 33, a mom of two, own 3 businesses with my husband, and currently applying for nursing school after completing my prerequisites. I was inspired by my amazing mother who at 50 years old, and after running a construction company with my dad for 20+ years, decided that she would return to school to be a nurse. She graduated in DEcember 2015, I started prerequisites in January 2016. There is no such thing as too old for something you really want!

As far as the titers go, I had all of my vaccinations as a child, boosters as a teen, HEP A & B as a teen (I am 33 now). I paid $300 to have titers drawn just to find out i didn't meet immunity threshold for ANY of the vaccinations and had to have them all re-administered. If it has been a while, talk to your doctor. It might just be worth it to have the vaccinations re-administered. Mine were all covered by my insurance.
