  1. Thank you! I used Magoosh. The question bank is very similar to what the actual test questions are.
  2. Of course! 5 years of MICU experience. CCRN Biochemistry and organic chemistry 1. GRE 310+, GPA 3.9. No leadership experience.
  3. Thank you! Orlando! It took me 1.5 months to hear back from the school, so you still have lots of time!
  4. I did! I got my offer in June! Good luck! Good luck!!
  5. Hello, This is for anybody that applied or thinking about applying for Barry 2026 CRNA program. I put in my application on 4/10, and haven't heard anything back yet. Hopefully it won't be long before the school starts sending out invites.
  6. Hello BigpappaCRNA, Thank you for replying me and explaining it to me. It’s a difficult decision to make because my personal interest is pursuing CRNA, however, because there is no equivalent jobs in China and like you said, it will be very difficult to get hired again once I am back to the US, I am also considering PhD program and hope to get a job at a university over there. I am a new graduate nurse to ICU, so there will be some time for me to think it through before I actually start applying. I hate to give up my career choice, but at the same time, there is nothing more precious than spending a few years with families when my parents are still relatively young and healthy. They do accept and prefer foreign trained M.D in China, so I am also thinking about med school as well. Thank you so very much again. I really appreciate your info and insight. Yuan
  7. Hello, I am trying to figure out how often does it CRNA license needs to be renewed and if there are bedside hours requirement for renewal. I am seriously thinking about pursuing CRNA school, but I also have a strong urge of going back to China and spent some time with my parents there. China doesn’t really have the equivalent of CRNA, and I won’t have the degree to practice as an anesthesiologist. So there is a possibility of me leaving practicing for a few years, but I obviously don’t want my license to be expired. Does anyone have any insights? I appreciate your time. Yuan
  8. Hello guys, I am a graduate nurse new to ICU and I am thinking about trying to apply some CRNA programs after working for a year or so. Do you guys all have CCRN before you apply? And how many chemistry classes have you taken? I appreciate your time!
  9. Does anyone remember if the mandatory nursing orientation is on May 11th or May 12th? I thought they said on May 12th because we can get the both transfer orientation and nursing orientation done at the same day. Thanks!
  10. I just got an letter for denial of scholarship today:unsure:
  11. Droot353, I was told that they admitted 30 students off the wait list last year. Keep it up!
  12. Not yet. I emailed to them and they said probably in next 2 weeks.
  13. Thank you! I am looking forward to seeing everyone!!
  14. I don't think it's mandatory. I e-mailed UCF and they said it's just for us to meet faculty and current students and they will answer questions we have. The decisions are still made based on our gpa, teas. I hope it helps.
  15. Crazydoglady, Thanks for your tips. I am looking up interview information from the previous year and hopefully it will give me a hint of what to prepare. I really appreciate you taking time to write the long reply for me and I am so excited to meet you at the interview! Yuan
  16. Yeah. The interview workshop. It says that 70% students got in after attending the interview. I am a little anxious that I won't be able to.
  17. Anybody will attend the open house on Feb. 18th? I live in Orlando area and probably won't be able to make it.
  18. SBA3, I got 10:30 interview as well! Do you know approximately how many groups are there for each time period? I wonder if we could be in the same group.
  19. Sammy712, It's my first time applying, so I am not really sure how they make the decision but I think you actually have a good chance. You are a lot above average 3 out of 4 items. I didn't see people posted any stats from 2016 summer program but I feel the application pool is much more competitive last year(based on the statistics from the UCF webiste) and this year in comparison to 2015. Does anybody apply to another school? I also applied to UNF and it would be nice to get to know each other before the interview( hopefully I will get an interview invitation. Fingers crossed)
  20. Hey Ashley, Thanks for replying. I just checked my application and my middle 3 are still all pending verification. What's your stats if you don't mind me asking?
  21. Hey, I did my fingerprint yesterday at a UPS store close to my house. If I remember it correctly, you should be asked when and which UPS store you want to get your fingerprints done. You will also be asked to make an appointment and just walked in the UPS store you chose with the appointment letter. They only just need the ID number on the appointment letter and photo ID. It took me about 10 minutes to get the fingerprints done. Once you are are done with fingerprints, you will just log back into your account and put the date that the fingerprints were taken. I saw it updated on my application the second day. So you should have plenty time.
  22. Hi LaVidaVerde, Thanks for replying! You have a very good stat! I will be surprised if you don't get in. I am so anxious right now about my low GPA. I graduated from a university in China and I never thought GPA was a such big deal until I got to my junior year and it was too late. If I couldn't get in this year, I will need to take a bunch of classes to boost my GPA up and retake the Teas again.
  23. Hello, My name is Yuan and I am applying for UCF 2017 Accelerated Nursing Program. I noticed that there was a thread every year on this forum for applicants to share their status and progress after application. So this is what this thread is for. As for me, I have Teas: 85.3% ( I might take it again at the beginning of January) Overall GPA :3.56 ( it's not great:( ) Prerequisite GPA: 4.0 Good luck!
