  1. I actually just graduated from Brookhaven in December and I worked full time (36-40) at first as a medical assistant and then as a PCT and it worked out fine for me. I was accepted to both TCC and Brookhaven and choose them because it only took 16 months to complete the program. If I had went with TCC I would just be graduating this May. It is definitely a doable program while working. Plus last Summer I did my two Texas Tech classes, and while taking my Summer Brookhaven courses. Unless something change Med-Surg is 10 weeks (First half is Spring) and Mental Health is 5 weeks (Last five weeks of Spring) Ob/GYn is Five weeks starting end of May and Pediatrics is five weeks starting beginning of July all other courses are 16 weeks.
  2. I am so happy for you we went from not getting an interview last application to now getting into the program. All works out in Gods Plan at the right time.

  4. I created a group on Facebook under Brookhaven Nursing Fall 2018 see if you all are able to join.
  5. Trying to stay busy. Currently at work and working on my statistics since we don't have patients this morning. Trying to keep myself occupied. This is a day I wish our schedule was full of patients.
  6. They asked me for one question to like tell about a time that I had to deal with a complicated customer or co worker and to describe how I dealt with it or something like that. Some question were to define a nurse and explain why you want to be one. The writing sample you get 15 min to write and you graded on spelling, grammar, if they can read it and two other components that equal the 5 points. The question we had was what are three skills or ____ (can't think of the word used) that will make you a good nurse student or something like that.
  7. Well the looooonnnngg wait will finally be over tomorrow. We will learn our fate when it comes to the Brookhaven Nursing program. Tomorrow at 5pm can definitely not come soon enough. Hopefully I will be seeing each of you as my classmates in the Fall.
  8. It looks like last application cycle they came in about 12pm.
  9. It can be anytime from now til 2 weeks into class and they will stick with that answer. Trust I was an alternate last application cycle and that is the answer I got every time I called. But yes they can call you anytime just be ready. You will still do a lot of the stuff the accepted students do and you just have to be ready when called. What were your stats?
  10. Welp everyone I am soooooo hoping tomorrow we find out!!! I don't think I can take waiting til Friday lol!!!
  11. Thanks, I was accepted into the Tarrant County College Nursing Program.
  12. Good Morning everyone. I am so happy and relieved to have gotten the interview and essay over with... I have a feeling that we all have a great chance of getting in as in like 99.9% chance from what I've read. I already got acceptance into another program I applied for, but Brookhaven is my #1 pick so this is the one I hope to get into. Can't wait I hope and pray our emails come early. I wasn't even expecting the email from the other school so early; I was just sitting at home playing Candy Crush and the email popped up. Just happy to know that I will in Fact be a nurse soon.. But really praying for Brookhaven so it can be more sooner than later.
  13. They emailed me. Brookhaven is my #1 pick. I'm going there if I get in. I'm accepting my acceptance to TCC because I want to get as much about both before I make my final decision.
  14. Anyone who applied for regular track check your emails... we got our acceptance letters.
  15. I don't think there are any interviews on Wednesday!
