  1. Congrats to everyone that got in!! I agree, if you didn't get in, don't give up!! I am super excited!! I will be going to orientation in Friday!!
  2. I took the DET on Wednesday the 18th.
  3. I used about 2 hours and 40 minutes. I feel that it was enough time. They were all multiple choice.
  4. There wasn't any questions about medicine dosages. I know the books had those type of math questions in them. It is mainly +, -, x, / fractions and decimals. There are a few percentage questions. You don't have to know the conversions for stuff because the few questions regarding temperature (C to K or vice versa ) they give you the formula for those. Math is last. You have to go in order. It starts out with English (sentence formation, etc) then goes to reading (ugh) then to critical thinking and then math. There are about 10 or so about reading graphs. You will have 2 hrs and 45 min. I think it ended up being like 150ish questions, if I remember correctly. Good Luck!!
  5. I ordered 2 DET books. 1 was strategies for taking DET and the other was DET practice books. I believe they helped some with letting you know what to study especially for math. English part helped some to know what they consider proper English... lol. I think the hardest part is reading those boring passages and answering the questions based upon how you think they want you to.
  6. I'm taking Keeling also!! Tuesday & Thursday nights.
  7. Hello RNTaylor1 - I applied for SWIC 2017. DET exam was a bit of a bear. Math is not hard but the English is difficult. The reading comp part really sucks because the passages are BORING and hard to focus on. Good luck!!
  8. I am doing A & P II and nutrition this semester. I will have everything done except for the nursing courses after this semester. How are your classes going?
  9. I took my DET exam yesterday. I got 6 out of 8 points. English is difficult but Math wasn't bad. I will be at 21 points now. Good luck everyone!!
  10. You can call and make your appointment to test now. Yesterday was the first day to do it.
  11. I purchased the DET study guide book from Barnes & Noble. I have submitted my application for Summer 2017. I am taking the DET mid January.
