Thank you so much for your response! I clicked the "Home" tab which brings me to a page that says "Welcome to the AORN Learning Center" I'm looking on that page and I don't see anything that says "Student Resource Center" I see a list that says: AORN Resources & Tools Journal CE Articles Journal Mobile App Tool Kits Webinars Career Center Foundation Shop AORN eSubscription Online Guidelines ORNurseLink AORN Membership (Free for Periop 101 Students) Other than that I don't see anything that says student resources...maybe I'm in the wrong place?

I am wondering if I could get some help locating the study guide on the AORN website. Once I log on I click "My AORN" at the top and am brought to my account. To access the modules, I click on "Learning Center" in green text just under "Access Education" Once I click that, I am brought to a page that has 3 tabs, "My active courses" "My completed courses" and "Credits" Can I access the study guide from any of these pages?

Yo who wants to do BSN with Aviation flight minor - Private Pilot's License....I'm like 70% serious lol....most of my gen. eds. are all done so I have a few under-loaded semesters. I want that Life-Flight Life ;p

Everyone, what was your impression of the whole "DEU" program the other day at orientation? To be honest I was a little sketched out by the the way they presented it, it seemed like that admin was trying to sell us on something thats not all its hyped up to be...staying at the same hospital for three years? 1 on 1 learning seems good but what if you hate your preceptor? Thoughts...anyone?

3.4 is not unrealistic at all, just make sure not to bomb the TEAS as it seems a lot of nursing schools weight this heavily. In terms of extracurricular activities I know Farmingdale College doesn't take these into account when selecting students. I specifically asked several times about recommendation letters, extracurrics, work exp, et cet. during the application process and was repeatedly told, "We only care about your numbers, THAT'S IT!" Not sure how other schools view these qualifications. Personally, I submitted nothing other than my scores and have no work or extracurric. exp. and got in...so I guess they're not lying.

Overall GPA about 3.8 science GPA 4.0, TEAS 94.7, although I kind of drove myself insane in the process of getting these stats....I think a 3.5+ and and 85+ TEAS would make you pretty competetive...most people Ive spoken to with these types of stats seem to get into places like molloy and adelphi no problem, just got to be willing to pay $$$

got my official acceptance letter in the mail today!

anyone get a physical acceptance letter in the mail yet?

Mine changed from, "waitlisted" to "accpetance-prior conditions" on friday night...I'm thinking this just means that if you have any outstanding pre-req's you are taking this semester, you have to pass them in order for them to maintain your acceptance for the start of next sem. Just dont fail anything this semester lol.

Just checked the OASIS portal and I GOT IN! "Accepted - prior conditions" Guessing this means I just have to pass A&P II which I'm taking right now. SO RELIEVED AND EXCITED I cannot even express it in words. Farmingdale is my #1 choice due to cost and only being 20 minutes from my house! Also, I'm pretty stoked to finally be a legitimate member of allnurses and the nursing community as a whole! Can't wait to get started and crazy excited for the next three years! Although I knew I was a competitive applicant, I worked myself like a maniac for a year taking pre-req's and basically made the TEAS study guide my bible for 2 weeks. This is what is took to get in... TEAS: 94.7 English: A Math: HS credit (no grade) Psych: A Medical Micro: A A&P 1: A Overall GPA: 3.9 Hard to beat I guess...
