I work in an 800+ bed teaching hospital. We currently have 6 angio suites (with plans of expanding to 9 in the next couple of years). We are going through a transition in our department and splitting off from all other modalities. Our schedule will be 7am-6pm x 9 RN's and 11am-9pm x 2 RN's Monday through Friday, and 2 RN's on Saturdays, which means no scheduled overnights, Sundays or holidays, and instead on call responsibilities. Anyone have thoughts about how many weekday and weekend calls we should be assigning? We will eventually have ~22 RN's. This transition is supposed to happen in January, and no one seems to know what to expect.
