Guys I got a denial email today due to them "not having" my HESI score even though I took it on campus and got a 97.6... I accepted my offer at CSCC anyway I just wanted to give y'all a heads up that something went wrong with the communication with HESI and Motlow! Good luck!

Considering the drive to main campus at times, yes. CSCC is a straight shot and easy drive.

Does anyone know if hospitals typically use baby size body bags when a preemie is born too soon or a baby is still born? When I transported a deceased patient to our place bodies are stored last week, my coworker (actually the person I was precepting) saw some red biohazard bags on the shelves and inquired about what they were, and we were informed by security that these were the remains of too-early preemies and stillborns. Maybe I'm too sensitive but my heart dropped when he told us that. He said they wrap them in blankets when they bring them down and all, but really? A trash bag? If this is common practice then so be it, but surely some company makes little baby body bags? If so, I would press whoever is in charge of those issues at my hospital to start using them... thoughts?

I just can't recommend it enough if you want to work hospital setting. All of our best nurses have tech experience. It just gives you an edge (if you truly learn tech skills) that studying and school just can't give you.

I'll be working full time night shift. A lot of people on my floor work Friday and Saturday, days and/or nights. It can be done. And I would highly...highly recommend getting at least a PRN job at the hospital as a tech if you plan on being a nurse in a hospital.

I've also heard that it takes way longer than what they say lol... I'm not getting my hopes up for anything happening before May. And if so... nice surprise!

so if the top 65 (or however many they take) all have 8 points, how do they "break the tie"? Or does that just never happen? PS that reminds me, does anyone know how many they take?

I believe they calculated 3.6? I have 25 quality points for A+P and that's it.

I got a 97 😊 I was shocked to be honest.. I thought the math would tank me but it was my 2nd highest score lol.

Last year I missed a small technicality on an app to another school so I had to wait an entire year before I could reapply so I'm traumatized by technicalities lol

Well I got a 31 composite on the ACT and an A in A+P I, and my cumulative college GPA is a 3.7, and I have a Bachelors. So I have the points I need from what I can tell, I'm just afraid there's something I'm missing! I've been working so hard to get here and been through a lot.. it's hard to believe it's so close.

I applied there and Motlow. From what I have read in the past Columbia state bases their point system off of ACT and A+P grade, plus a bonus point for having a Bachelors degree Is that what you are calculating your points from?
