  1. I haven't seen anyone that's had two interviews for the same program. I think you're in the clear! Also, feel free to join the facebook group if you haven't already: Log into Facebook | Facebook
  2. The general consensus seems to be that they do not interview FNP applicants. They may if they want to clarify something on your app, but generally they do not interview.
  3. Good idea, midwifeminded! Log into Facebook | Facebook Everyone, I've created a group.... feel free to join! If that link doesn't work for whatever reason, the name of the group is "Vanderbilt MSN Hopefuls 2017"
  4. I don't think that's something that they're willing or able to do. If they did, they'd be swamped with calls all day every day asking for everyone's personal app status. Unless you mean that you are just now trying to submit it and want to make sure they have all the documents, but that is easy to access in the online application portal. I know now it sucks to wait; I'm super antsy too. But we're all just going to have to wait until we get the email saying an update has been made to our applications. Will be Feb-March.
  5. FNP does not interview, so you most likely won't hear anything until admission letters are sent out.
  6. Neurograd, I can't speak for PMHNP (midwifery here), but my interviewer told me it was a "good sign" I was being interviewed.
  7. I don't think that ALL of them get interviewed. I think it's only the most competitive candidates.
  8. hey! As far as interviews go, it depends on your program. Some, like the CNM, will always do interviews with competitive candidates. Others, like FNP, do not do interviews (except maybe if they need clarification? Not sure on that). I'd recommend looking back through this thread and seeing if others in PMHNP have talked about doing interviews. I think that program does require them, but I'm not totally sure. When I had my interview (CNM) they did seem to have my whole application in front of them, as it was referenced several times and they even quoted parts of my essay.
  9. Hey all! Just finished my interview. Overall, I think it went excellently. One new piece of information, maybe specifically for CNM applicants: he told me that they were expecting letters to go out late Feb/early March. This kind of surprised me, as it's gone out earlier in past years, even though they had a later deadline than we did this year. But I guess that's the newest update for anyone waiting... we've got a long way to go! Yikes!

  11. Awesome! My interview is in an hour :) Thanks for the info!
  12. How was the Vandy interview? Was it really only 10-15 minutes? Was it the same for Penn?
  13. How is everyone doing with this? Any updates? I'm so excited!
  14. It's possible that FNP doesn't do interviews, so you'd only need to do one for CNM!
  15. Hey everyone! I applied for the direct entry CNM program and got an email about scheduling an interview today. I'll be having it on the 19th! I have HEARD (but cannot confirm) from those in the program already that the interview is basically a formality, and if you're interviewed your pretty much as good as in. I don't know if that's true.... I guess we'll see in the next couple months! But it seems a good guess, especially since the interview is only supposed to be 10-15 minutes. I got sent a few program documents to review and see if I have any questions about them.
