Feel like I'm too dumb to be a nurse
I hate this...nurses pick on new nurses Sooooo much it's like they try to be better instead of taking you in and telling you what you could have done differently. Nursing is a fickle ***** vitals can change in a second if something is wrong...4 months is not enough time to figure out problem solving babes give your self more time( and experience) don't let those people make you feel differently you finished school passed your boards that's an accomplishment all in its self! It takes a special person to be a nurse. My few months of nursing was hell! I cried everyday now I'm teaching xoxo you'll be ok your not dumb but also be careful and use the knowledge I know you have

Just leave? If you get a chance to read the past post I stated that I take care of my parents and I have been a nurse for 12 yrs I have been a nurse since I was 20 yrs old ( there i dated myself ) with the recent economy I KNOW I have a Career that most people are fighting for struggling through school to have...I know what I have I can get a job anywhere. But to pick up and find a new career at this stage in my life has been difficult especially since I don't really know what to major in. Something I will just as easily be able to find a job once I graduate- If you are an LPN are you married or in a relationship?
Ahhhhh intimidation I've encountered that before...but are you single now?- If you are an LPN are you married or in a relationship?
It's REALLY does really really does!- If you are an LPN are you married or in a relationship?
Hello the message is directed to LPNS trust me as a LPN I notice the difference between LPNS and RNS you make more money and your options are definitely better than ours so I'm just referring to the lpns- If you are an LPN are you married or in a relationship?
Hey love I asked this question because I noticed in my travels most LPNS don't take time for themselves...the 8 hr shifts take up most of there social life. I work with 6 LPNS on my shift...we are are single no kids and vary in different ages " one is 62 and said she just never had the time" thanks for the response I like the long weekend idea maybe I would do it mon and tue!- I hate nursing
I see a psychiatrist twice a week...I I'm learning about body buffers and how nurses allow people to invade their space without even knowing it!- I hate nursing
Im working on it!! I stopped going to church because I was " too tired" I would get off and sleep through the day it was my excuse for not going but In light of recent events and the way I have been feeling in know he's calling me back..thank you love- I hate nursing
Yes! I will always be a nurse in the most stressful situations we are the first not to panic and we are rational the use of critical thinking changes so ones mind into thinking above beyond and outside the box. What I learned from nursing I can never give up but BURN OUT is real...I think the main cause is LTC gosh I wish they would have better opportunities for LPNS- I hate nursing
Cool thabk you lol I bet nobody saw there messages !- I hate nursing
I found parts of this funny ! But I think u become accustomed to making a certain type of money? Like when I moved I noticed the 4 dollars difference! So going to Starbucks and Costco no love nooooo if I leave this profession it will be for something far better paying and higher in demand!- I hate nursing
Like this? Thanks I've been trying to figure it out!- I hate nursing
Yup I tasted being poor and it was not nice! And that's because I chose to work a retail job that paid 13 dollars and hour and I was bringing home 260 every two weeks cause there was not enough hours! RN I still have to actually get in the program!- I hate nursing
Kinds back...you took a lot of effort for your comment and you are right in so many ways....bills is the only thing keeping me back from jumping professions so quick hate it as I may it pays the bills right now ( I may have no kids but I do take care of both my parents ) nursing is in all of us who are compassionate and care about people. People look to me for my knowledge and kindness I am a caregiver to anyone I come across. Whether I'm working in nursing or not...with that being said I am looking for a new profession it's hard to jump careers so late in life with the economy what it is and the potential to finish school and not get a job. It's ok I'm working on it thanks for the feedback- Should I have volunteered to stay overnight?
Didn't they stop mandating nurses? Next time remember your mind and body come first and a facility will work you like a mule if you allow it. I'm sorry they intimidated you like that.- If you are an LPN are you married or in a relationship?
I'm just want to see if any LPN has managed a good life/work balance? Are you married? In a relationship? Have kids? I want to know despite the long work hours how you manage a healthy lifestyle- If you are an LPN are you married or in a relationship?
I'm just taking a poll to see if any LPN has managed a good life/work balance? Are you married? In a relationship? Have kids?- I hate nursing
Hello! Thanks for your response ...im getting more comments like yours than I am negative ones which leads me to belive I'm not alone in my thoughts. Oh my love that's what I have been doing LTC Oh lord!!! I wish the Lpn didn't have to be subjected to this !! At one point I had 60 patients on night shift and I told my management " I don't think it's legal or humanly possible for one person and 3 aids to take care of 60 people" the morning I resigned I had two falls resulting in injuries a code a death and a RN supervisor from and agency who was unfamiliar with the facility. So when I gave my notice I left and moved south were are started hospice and the situation that occurred was less than nice and I left ....I continued working in makeup and enjoyed it until the money became so bad I had to start looking again and of course it was either LTC or home visits and since I fear going into people's homes it was back to the facility which I know dread everyday. But AGAIN thank you for your understanding and your comment GOOD LUCK WITH YOUR RN I hope u pass with flying colors xoxox - I hate nursing
