Hello,
I was told that if you wanted to get a BSN and apply to a CSU school, then the better option is to go in as another major/undeclared instead of nursing. Once you are in, you can change/apply for the nursing school within that CSU.
How likely will one get into nursing school with this approach? Anyone experience this? Does one truly have a better chance of getting in with this approach?
TIA
Hello AccelCNL, Can you elaborate on, "However, new graduates of direct entry NP programs ( depending on the setup of the program) will never have worked as a RN much less as an NP ( outside of school based clinical hours). Does that mean they are not competent?" I just can't imagine people graduating and passing the NCLEX and not work as an RN or NP. thanks, Joseph
