  1. anyone know if we'll be using the same books as the 2016-2017 school year? I'd like to get a headstart on buying books... at least for 153. Spring 2017 semester is using Fundamentals of Nursing 9th Edition, but we all know how they constantly upgrade the edition
  2. thank you so much for the info! It's especially valuable since I found out this morning I got in!! And yes I got my BS from UMD.. I'm sending you a PM. It would be great to stay connected through all this
  3. I got into Essex eve/weekend!!!!!
  4. Awesome! When did you have orientation? What all did you do before classes start? When do classes usually start and what's the schedule look like the first year? How do you like it?? Any advice? Sorry for the bombardment...we're expecting emails this week so anxiety/excitement is running high!
  5. I just checked and mine says decision made now!
  6. I applied to Essex eve/wknd and mine still says complete and ready for review
  7. same here
  8. yes I already have a Bachelors degree so everything is done
  9. I applied for evening/weekend, GPA is 3.0, Advanced TEAS, and 87.2% on reading.. not sure what my exact science GPA is but its not too great bc I got C's in A&P. It's hard to tell if these stats are good or bad bc I've heard of people with lower GPAs get in and higher GPAs not get in! I'm hoping next week will be it!
  10. 6-8 weeks
  11. Has anyone gotten an email letting you know your application was received and to look out for notifications /acceptance/rejection via email? I was reading a thread from last fall and a lot of the applicants talked about getting this email
  12. I applied to Essex evening/weekend program for the fall... these next 6-8 weeks are going to be excruciating! Does anyone know if we will get letters by email or regular mail? I know in the past they sent everything through snailmail but I saw somewhere that this time will be by email. If that's the case will we still get welcome packets, etc (hopefully!) through regular mail? Idk why but I prefer having all that stuff on paper... makes it seem more real haha Good luck everyone!
  13. does anyone know if we are getting our letters by email or snailmail? Previous threads all seemed to have gotten them by regular mail, but I read somewhere this time will be by email. If that's the case, will we get additional info (welcome packet, etc) in the regular mail?
  14. I'm applying to the evening program and went to the CAS application info session.. the admission ladies said it's perfectly acceptable to have the official transcripts mailed to you, then you mail them (with the CAS forms attached to each) to CAS yourself. I preferred this way because, honestly, I didn't trust the schools to do this process correctly. It worked out and they received all my transcripts! Good luck :)
  15. hey there! sure I think we can try to help.. what's your question?
