    Where in Northern New York are you? There are openings in the OR at Strong Memorial in Rochester, NY. Being from Buffalo, you know that we aren't exactly the "North Country" or rural, but we have positions open and positions for our heart team.

  2. Magnet Hospital Status

    We were the first hospital in the Rochester, NY area to gain Magnet certification (July, 2004). We are a Level I Trauma Center and have 750+ beds. I was part of the OR Magnet process committee. Most of the nursing staff seemed to be interested in gaing Magnet status. We actually just finished our first nursing survey since gaining Magnet status. You can get to the University of Rochester Strong Memorial Hospital website to find out what the nursing department did for the Magnet certification. The web site is http://www.urmc.rochester.edu.
