  1. Thanks so much. I will keep that in mind. Who would ever think that surviving nursing school and the NCLEX that choosing a job would be such a hard decision?! Thanks again.
  2. I recently graduated nursing school, passed the NCLEX PN, and have now been going on interviews. I have over 11 years of medical history as I was a certified medical assistant for 11 years working in the clinic setting I have been wanting to do beside care so I applied to an LTC and was offered a position on the spot. I was surprised at what the offered and I am leaning towards accepting. I have to two more interviews coming up both in clinics. I would like to add that even this the CMA and LPN scope of practice is different, they basically do true same thing in the clinics I have worked. So my question is when going to these interviews, would I be able to negotiate pay since I have over 11 years of clinical experience or should I just stick to what I’m being offered? -LPNNewbie
  3. I'm currently in an LPN program and I'm due to graduate in December. I've been a medical assistant for 10 years so I have a lot of clinical experience. What are some good options for areas to work as an Lpn, besides clinics and nursing homes? I plan on bridging but it's going to take me a year or so to finish up my prerequisites.
  4. Thanks a lot. I'm working on it!
  5. That's what I was thinking. My concern is working a full time job and school full time.
  6. I'm a 35 and a single parent of two. I've been a Certified Medical Assistant for the past 10 years. I am ready become a nurse. I'm stuck between deciding if I should start as an LPN or just jump right in to the RN program. I still have to provide for my family. My goal is to get a BSN. Please help!!!
