NVCC MEC nursing fall '17
Have you guys contacted the Nursing Dept today? At orientation the Dean mentioned they had about 400 applicants for Traditional alone. I did notice that they took down the posting in regards to processing applications.

I believe the Traditional program orientation is 6/15, and LPN-RN on 6/20. I think they were initially planning to have both on the 15th but they sent an email to the LPN-RN accepted students that theirs had been changed to 6/20. The MEC has a separate mandatory orientation that has four dates starting on 6/23.

I received my acceptance yesterday afternoon 2pm. I called the Nursing dept and Iglt a voicemail saying they were still notifying students up until 6/12. Don't give up hope! I wish everyone the best!

GMU ABSN program 2017 applicants
I'm right there with you guys! I've been trying to tell myself to relax and what will be, will be. I think I am going to limit my email checking to once every 3-4 hours. I'm assuming we won't here anything until after Monday since it's the weekend now.

GMU ABSN program 2017 applicants
@greatgiginthesky: Thank you for the feedback! Yes, I sent everything out already. It is such a relief to have the application completed. I wanted to edit my video with iMovie as well but I'm not familiar with the program and time was an issue. I wrote a little over a page for my essay. If I tried to stretch it out more it would just be adding fluff. Overall I'm satisfied with my application and think I am a strong candidate. I hope we all get in!

How did you guys do on your videos? I've done mine over at least 4 times, and I still stumble over my words a little.

GMU ABSN program 2017 applicants
Hello, everyone! I am a prospective student for the GMU ABSN program for 2017. I am working on completing my A&P I and II before applying in January. I have already have a BA in Psychology from GMU. My overall GPA was not great due to an undiagnosed chronic illness that left me with many incompletes that I couldn't get done. But my last 50 or so credits were all As and I was on the Dean's List every semester. I don't know if it will help me at all to be an alumna or not. I am an older student (35 yrs old) and I have three little girls. My older two are already in elementary school and my youngest will eligible for Pre-K by the time the program starts if I'm accepted. I'm a little intimidated by the 1 year, intensive program. Anyone else thinking about applying for the same program? Any advice from those who have already started or completed it? Thanks!
