  1. Just wanted to add another perspective for those debating about working while in the program. I think it comes down to a) what grades you are ok with and b) what other obligations you have. If you are ok with getting some B's in the program, you could probably work part-time, especially if you don't have kids or other family obligations. If it's really important to you to get a 4.0, you probably shouldn't work. Also, if you're the primary caregiver for your kids, it would be really difficult to work and complete the program.
  2. The TEAS test has 4 sections - reading, math, English, and science. The science section is about 95% A&P. If you are really strong in the other sections and you've already taken the first section of A&P, you could probably do well. I would take one of the practice tests from ATI and see how you do. For CPR, it needs to be in-person BLS for Healthcare Providers. You can search through the American Heart Association website to find approved providers. Once you pick a program, you could also check with your ASU adviser just to be sure. I took mine from Heart Savers in Mesa, just to give an example. Hope that helps! :)
  3. Thanks so much for the thoughtful advice! I was also feeling unsure about getting a degree that requires an explanation on resumes, grad school applications, etc. (especially if I go out of state). It's great to hear that you're happy with the ASU program. I will probably go that route as well. Best of luck with your studies!
  4. Hi! I am trying to decide between applying to the post-bacc BSN program at ASU and the MEPN program at U of A. I will probably end up applying to both, but I'm wondering if there are any big pro's or con's for either one? I'm leaning toward ASU since I could finish it sooner, but are there any good reasons to spend the extra time getting the MEPN? Thanks for any advice! :)
