  1. For richmond, we have class registration July 19, orientation August 17, and clinical orientation Aug 21
  2. Man it's been forever since I've been here. But I am accepted into the LPN program at Richmond! Congrats to everyone else :)
  3. Kp91110, I take my teas next Friday. My friend takes hers tomorrow. I've been told numerous times I'll be fine with taking it next week.
  4. Same here! Richmond would be my first and muncie is my second choice
  5. It is certainly a lot to think about and study! Good luck to you angmcav! Which campus are you applying to? What was your score? I wish you luck on your second attempt!
  6. Oh man 37changes, you're great! I hope I get into the program. If I score good enough, I'm applying to Muncie, Richmond, and New Castle. Muncie is my second choice and Richmond is my first. Since I live here and all lol. I love the app! My my last practice test, I scored these below: reading: 72.3 math: 59.4 science: 62.8 english: 62.5 total: 65.4 I scored 15 points higher than my first practice. So I gotta study hard! I'm super determined! I'm also super nervous too.
  7. I have total of 50/60 points in the prereqs. I've spoke to the dean and was told by her that, that the 30 days prior is an error. It wasn't fixed before handing out or fixed online. She told me I can take it 48 hours prior to the application deadline. I don't know what to do. I'm feeling so discouraged now. I don't mind starting LPN at all. I just prefer to go straight into RN. Of course I wanna be on the safe side but I also want to be sure I'm prepared enough as well
  8. Hello again! I'm applying to ivy tech. I have to score proficient or better. A score of 58.7 (starting point for proficient) or higher. I take the exam the 2nd time next month..and I'm still nervous. I was nervous just taking the practice tests! If it's easier, email me at [email protected] we could connect better that way. Thank you for getting back!
  9. Hi everyone! I took the TEAS 6 for the first time in January. I ended up scoring a 54. For the program I'm applying to, I must have a 58.7 or better. I became discouraged and didn't study anytime after. Last month I built up the courage to start studying again. So, I took the Practice A test on the ATI site. I scored a 50 because I hadn't studied since January. Well, today after a month of studying, I scored a 65.4. I scored 15 points higher since I've studied! I plan to retest next month. I am going to study my weak areas. Do you think I have a good chance at passing now or even getting a higher score once I retest? Have you ever scored higher on the actual exam than you did on the practice? I'm still super nervous about retaking. Any advice would help! Thanks in advance! I plan to apply at Richmond, Muncie, and New Castle. Hopefully I score enough. I have the study guide, I've watched YouTube videos for my science and math, and I even bought the TEAS Mastery App. I'm studying my butt off but I'm scared to death I won't do as well. Or maybe I'm over reacting!
  10. I take my teas next Friday! I scored a 54 the first attempt. I've been studying like crazy! I pray this second time I do much better!
  11. My top two are Richmond and Muncie too! New castle will be my third choice! You can email me [email protected] if you want!
  12. Sorry. It's suppose to say 78-90% is considered advanced. My fingers I guess are too fat for my keyboard!
  13. A score of 78-80% is considered advanced
  14. Why am I just now seeing this thread!!?? Hi everyone! A bit about myself..my name is Kadijah and I just turned 23 last month. I have a 5 year old daughter as well. Her name is Serenitee but we call her Reni for short. I live in Richmond and I am actually new to the area. Been here a year, so maybe not so much new anymore. Hah! I married my wife last month as well. Yay! I am applying for LPN and ADN programs to start in the fall of this year, 2017. I'm applying at the Richmond, Muncie, and New Castle campuses. So far I have taken my Pre-Reqs. I have B in A&P, A in Psycholgy, and A in English. I'm scheduled to take my TEAS tomorrow morning. And let me tell you, I'm terrified! I don't know what to expect. I have purchased the TEAS app on my iPhone and I have the Momentrix Study Guide Book. I've taken two practice tests. I took one without studying. Just to see where I was and I scored a 75. I took it a second time and scored 82 after studying. I'll take another today just to see where I stand. This spring semester, I am taking Advanced Human Physiology and Public Speaking. Also I'm taking two classes just to keep me going. Those classes are medical terminology and medical law and ethics. The previous fall semester, I have taken A&P1 (retake because I made a C last summer), A&P2 (made a 75 C), Microbiology (made a high B), and Intro to Sociology online (made 79 C). I also have Math123 that I took last summer and I came out with a C. I'm sure if I took the classes in the fall instead of summer, I've done better but I'm glad with the grades I have now. Hope I didn't bore any of you! Hah! I look forward to reading more and knowing more of you guys! Good luck to everyone!
  15. Thank you for replying back! If you don't mind me asking, what did you score on practice and the actual?
  16. Hi! My name is Kadijah. I take the TEAS this Thursday for the first time and I'm nervous! I'm applying for ADN and LPN (ADN is where my heart is set) at Ivy Tech for this fall. I've used the TEAS Mastery app and the Momentrix Study Guide Book. I've studied a month and even harder now! I'm terrified. The math is making me the most nervous. I've practiced twice and scored a 75 the first time and 82 the second time. I've heard the practice exams are harder than the TEAS itself. I've also heard people score much higher on the TEAS than they do on the practice. My fingers are are crossed for you!
  17. Hello everyone! I am taking my TEAS 6 exam this Thursday morning and I'm so nervous! I've read people failing and I've read some people has done great! I've been studying for a month using the Momentrix Study Book. For my program, we must score a 58% or better for the ADN. Along with the TEAS, we must complete our Pre-Reqs with a C or better in anatomy and physiology (I have a B), Psychology (I have an A), and English (I have an A). Of course the program is very competitive. So I'm highly nervous! I have taken practice tests. First practice I scored a 75 and the second practice I scored an 82. So I can see I'm improving. For those that has already taken the TEAS, how was it? Is there anything in particlular I should focus heavy on studying? Did you score higher on the actual exam vs. the practice exams? I'm full of questions! Maybe I'm just trying to find a way to help myself relax. Thanks guys! If you guys would like, I will post my experience as soon as I'm done with my test Thursday! Fingers crossed I make at least an 80:cheeky:
  18. I have the momentrix guide and I test this Thursday! What did you score on your TEAS and how long did you study before you took the TEAS?
  19. 0Hey guys! My name is Kadijah. I'm creating this forum to see if there are anyone applying for the Ivy Tech nursing programs the fall of 2017. I figured we should find a place and communicate with each other and basically become a each others support system. Right now in my pre-reqs I have two As (English and psychology) and a B (AP1). I'm worried about my grades but I've been told it's all about the TEAS scores. I haven't taken my TEAS yet but I am taking it in January. I'm applying for the Richmond campus. What scores usually get in the program? I'm actually freaking out about scores! I want to be a nurse (RN) so bad and I'll be crushed if I don't get in. What about you guys? What scores did you have to get in at Ivy Tech nursing program? What are your pre-req grades? Have you taken the ATI TEAS 6 yet? Lets chat and keep each other in the loop of things
  20. Congrats to you! I take the TEAS next month. I've been studying myself. How were the other sections besides science? I've read horrible things about people not doing so well. I know everyone is different and test differently. With that being said, I try now to freak out! I hope and pray that my studying pays off! I have to score a 58 or higher to get into my nursing program. The higher the better!
