medical surgical nursing help!
hello everyone. through out my student years I use to reread the book memorize new words that are important and it helped me pass the class (also I had great professors, who point out the important) but the method started to failed me when I got in to the program. I don't know how I passed until now, feel like I didn't learn or study enough... These are my problems -Professors read power points, my professor doesn't make the test so anything she said is not there (there is no guidance, when I went to my professor for help, she said "you didn't study hard enough") - struggling with S&S, I know people said you CAN'T memorize them just know the important BUT how do I distinguish which ones are IMPORTANT?? (professor is no help) * I tried my best to read than write than continuously reread what I wrote, worked out fine for that week. next week I started to read new topics when I went back to the previous topic well lets just say my head was blanked out. I cried so much cause I felt like I gave everything, spend so much time... but everything was just.. gone. (I went into panic mode to depression) my biggest concern is finding the focus (I am all around the page) every page of the book contain huge amounts of information. so I was hoping if anyone could give me an advice like when you read what do you look for, which information you kind of well give up on? (I try to understand & memorize everything... too scare to let things go lol) I understand everyone's situations are unique but it would be a great help if you guys can share your experiences and methods. Thank you.

Gpa is dropping
thanks for the information. I was wondering, is there any nursing question books that you can recommend me to buy? I heard doing lot of question helps but I am not sure which books are good for which class. I am not loaded with money so I don't want to do trial and error to see if it helps or not. still thanks, it kind a make me feel better.

LaGuardia Community College (LAGCC) Nursing Program
far as I understand if this will be your first time attending LaGuardia, you can go to the admission department and talk about your transferring class. tell them that you don't want that grade to be part of your LaGuardia record. your grade doesn't go away but I believe that LaGuardia would just not have that information. so you will get to have a chance to take it one more time. again only if you never attend LaGuardia before!!! (that's what I heard)

Gpa is dropping
I am going to laguardia cc, i am at my last semester for lpn, and I notice that my gpa is falling and I don't know what to do. I got c+, and b-.. I am worried cause, i want to apply for rn bridge program but I am not good enough..... I was thinking to go to different school and decide to google other cuny school that has bridge course, it look like only laguardia and medgar has the program. I know that medgar is also tough to get in. Is private school my only salvation? I thought about moving to nj or upstate ny, but I don't have car, and I believe transportation is bad there. I guess I don't know what to do after I graduate... I know I will be working, but I don't have any plan besides that....

LaGuardia Community College (LAGCC) Nursing Program
Hello, i have a question, i am worry that i don't have good enough GPA to get in to lpn-rn program next year. when i check their requirement and calculate my prerequisite class GPA it was around 3.5. is this ok GPA for me to take a chance or should i go to different school? only thing that i can do at this point is to increase my TEAS exam. (English is my second language:sorry: so i always mess up on reading and grammar section, does anyone know good prep school or tutor for TEAS?)
