  1. Hi all, i'm a first time traveler and was anxious to get my first gig under my belt. I did take a really great offer in minneapolis, but my question is in regards to the 'negtiation' period i see other people talk about. When does this occur? So my recruiter sends me a job profile, i see the hours and pay etc, then we submit, then i talk to a manager, then they either offer me or not. So when exactly should i ask for more $$ or better housing? Before i submit or after? Also, how do you guys typically tell your recruiter you want more money to stay somewhere? I guess i'm more or less looking for how to phrase that in a professional way. Thanks!
  2. Hi all! So I'm thinking about traveling and my specialty is OR. I've done research about agencies and I get that there is no best agency/you have to put all the factors together etc. My question is this: can anyone recommend an agency just on pay? I don't need benefits or retirement so I just want to max out pay and not have to fight for the best rate all the time. Does anyone have an agency to recommend? TIA
  3. I started in nursing as a 'quick job' (hysterical i know) to pay for a graduate degree in another field. I quickly found that a) nursing is damn hard and 2) I would make waaaay more money with nursing. So I did have that secret shame for a little while, the whole concept you mention of not having the 'passion.' But I found an area that I liked and works well with my skills set (the operating room). Along the way you find that people do the job for all sorts of different reasons, and there is nothing wrong with not having some predestined sense of what your career should be. Take pride in a job well done, not the 'passion' you do or don't feel.
