Does anyone have any of the Dr. Frye's Professional Development Handouts for excselsior? I had them and lost them in Katrina I used them on 2 NC and they were good. I just would like to get them again.

I called them today. The cost is 10,000 dollars for 12 months, Fri 8a-4p. They have orientations on T/Th. They have one class a year. If I find out that they are on the up and upn I will tell others to try. ``

Iam very interested in info regarding this school. Where is located, cost and exactly how long?

I am really interested in LNC what is a good program to consider enrolling in? I looked at Kaplan but they only enroll once a year. Any thoughts?b

If you would just be geniune and knowledgable when communicating with patients of any race, I think you will be okay. I think we mess up when we assume that we have treat people according to race and not for who they are. :uhoh3:

I empathize with the OP....some patients really go far with the demands. Things like coffee, ice etc..can be obtained by family members or cnas. As well as blankets. I always try to find out everything they need while I am in the room. But a lot ...

As a black person these generalizations would be offense to me in my care...No eye contact a big no no among myself and other blacks. Be cautious in generalizing African-American culture on paper.:) :)
