I am graduating next week and reviewing Fitzgerald, I did the post-test 75 questions yesterday, did not do well under 60%, Seems so hard and discouraging. But I have not even applied yet, so I know I have a long way to go.

I already have MSN degree, so I applied for PMFNP, which seems only few students admission and very competitive.

I haven't heard anything yet either, worried!!

Do you know if it is same days for Post Masters FNP too?

I am still waiting for the interview call from UTEP and one more college, nothing yet. Seems like need to consider for spring semester application. :-( PMFNP seems much compititative due to so small amount of seat available. What other Texas based college do you all recommend? Thank you.

Yes, I was also told by the nursing advisor that total campus visit for Post Masters FNP is only 2 times, which is so much better than every semester visit.

Congratulations ChiGal7 and Fuzzy911! I am happy for you guys. Did you all apply for summer or fall 2017? One of the nsg advisers called me yesterday and said that they are sending out letters for summer first and it will take about 2 more weeks for Post Masters FNP decision. very nervous

Hi Riburn3, thanks for the information and glad to know that you are in the UTEP program. I applied for PMFNP Fall 2017. I am really nervous at this point because seems like the program is very popular and very competitive. My BSN GPA isf 4.0 and MSN 3.7, but I don't have critical care experience but I have enough acute care and administrative experience. Please suggest if I should still be hopeful to get admission.

Anyone received the admission decision from TAMUCC for the fall 2017 FNP program yet? I applied there and hoping to get in, but so nervous.

I just recently applied to UTEP after getting rejection form UT Austin They have deadline until May1st. SO I am hoping they will start to get back to the applicants in mid May or later. How competitive is UTEP? I am nervous.

Hi all, I have been nurse for about 15yrs now and on my early 40s. Now I am thinking to go back to school for Post Masters -NP Program as I already have MSN. I have been working mostly as a bedside nurse in different units-med/surg/ortho/nuro/onco. I also have worked as a case manager and currently working as a medical record Utilization Review nurse. I am happy for what I am doing right now, but it doesn't pay well. I miss patient interaction, as well as I want to be competent with medical knowledge and nursing skills. I have been looking to different Online colleges-GCU, Maryville, and Texas A&M-CC. But not sure which is better. I also have dilemma on FNP or Acute care gerontology FNP. Please help me with valuable suggestion. Thank you.
