Hello, I am a new nurse with associate degree and working in an MICU. My ultimate goal is to become a CRNA and I am starting an RN to BSN program asap. I was planning to go to the University of Central Florida but decided to look into other options and found out that because of some complicated reasons, Chamberlain will actually be cheaper for me. I have been accepted into both schools, but I am having a very hard time figuring out if Chamberlain is regarded highly enough that I could get into a CRNA program. I did my research and saw that most schools require a regional as well as national accreditation, and Chamberlain is accredited by CCNE and the Higher Learning Commission, which the advisor told me is a regional accreditation. However, I am still hesitant because it is not a traditional school and I don't know how programs will actually react to a degree from Chamberlain. I haven't found anyone with experience in this, and my hospital is encouraging me to attend Chamberlain and just get it done quickly, but I want to what is best for me. Any advice is greatly appreciated. I am asking here because classes start soon. I know I need to try to get in touch with programs I want to eventually apply to do and I plan to do that, but I wanted to ask here while I try to get in touch with them, and to supplement my findings.

Does anyone know if there is a disadvantage in getting my BSN from chamberlain if I want to be accepted into a CRNA program? I just found out that chamberlain will actually accept so many credits from my previous schooling that they will end up being cheaper for me than the local university I was going to attend for my RN-BSN. I know they are accredited by CCNE but I haven't been able to find anything on how highly (or lowly?) they are regarded by employers or schools.
