  1. You will probably get alot of different answers with this question. Depends on the person I would think.. I did them together with a Math for health sciences and did well. The best advice I can give you is make sure you have enough time to study for A&P. If you aren't that good with sciences then maybe break it up. I posted a few minutes ago but it didnt save.. Chemistry isnt that bad to me.. A&P was more intense than chemistry...
  2. Hello everyone. I take the NLN this week. I've been studying for almost two weeks and can't score high on practice test. Does anyone have any tips. I have finished all my pre reqs and have all A's so why is this nln so hard. It's making me so worried. I have to score high for the points. Idk what else to do. Please any tips and pointers would be appreciated. I mean if I passed my reqs no problem this should be easy but it's not. I'm having trouble with the science part. The math and English is no problem. Ty in advance.
  3. Thank you! Is the composite score how much better you did then your peers? Is that how they base your score? Or is it on how many you get right? I have the study guide and I have no problem with the math but that vocab is a killer. Also, The test is a 2 hour computer test.. I thought it was 3 hours? Right now I have 10 points.. That is without NLN..
  4. Hey there.. Can you tell me howthe NLN was? I take mine next week! Any tips? I am at the owens campus
  5. Hello Ladies, I am at the owens campus. I take my NLN next week! Can anyone tell me how it was.. What was on it mostly? Any pointers would be appreciated. All my pre req are out of the way. Can you also tell me how many points you got in with? Owens has a total possible points of 16.
  6. I am finishing up first year and took all of prerequisites except one. I went full time. And now will hopefully be in program in Fall. It can b done but depends on school. I didn't need a prerequisite for A&p 1. I did micro and a&p same semester with eng and sociology. Then A&p2 and psych next.
  7. I have bone practical Monday morning then a math exam Monday night. Then my lecture exam on the cells on Tuesday morning. Busy week coming up
  8. What was it on. We have bone practical next week. Those bones are no joke lol
  9. Well!!! I have 7 weeks left to go for this semester. I have a 96 in A&P, a 98 in Eng 101, but My math for health sciences is a mother matter. I'm not doing well in it. I thought for sure it would be easier then my Biology class but not. It only has four exams and they are 80 percent of my grade. Right now I have an 80 in the class. If I can ace this test on Monday I'll b back in business if not I might just have to drop it. Any tips for conversions would be greatly appreciated.
  10. Omg yes. I am in A&P and also math for health sciences. Plus English. I have stopped since I started 6 weeks ago. P
  11. Omg I'm exhausted. I had a tissue lab exam today and then my first math exam. I got stress bumps on my face lol. I still have great marks so far though. But I exhausted.
  12. I'm in both of those now. I've been in 6 weeks now. So far so good. My instructor gives us notes and power points. She is greatly appreciated. Omg.
  13. I'm taking A&P with Math for Health sciences. Both are points towards nursing program. I had no choice. But I just didn't want to drain out an extra semester if I didn't have to. It is hard but I'm managing so far. I need A's in both classes for 6 points each
  14. I'm doing well. So far I have A in A&P. A in my Math for health Sciene and an A in Eng. I had my first exam last week in A&P and got a 100. I was so excited and happy. Good luck on your exam. You got this.
  15. My big first exam is tomorrow in lecture. We covered all the cavities regions and organs. I can't wait to get it over with.
  16. My first big exam is tomorrow. I feel pretty confident. Good luck. !!
  17. Yes that's for A&P. I really like it. It is a lot of notes and studying but I really am enjoying it. It's very interesting. My instructor tells us exactly what is on test and also gives us extra practices and drills. She is great. Actually cares if we pass or fail.
  18. 2 weeks in and my first A&P exam next Thursday. Lab is great. We are starting tissues. So far so good. Lots of studying tho. But I love it. How's everyone else doing in A&P
  19. Right!! That's what I do. English isn't bad. Math isn't either. Not yet anyway. I just have been extra focused on AnP because I know it's only going to get harder
  20. I've finished my first week. Already got all the cavities and organ systems covered. Plus al the organs in each cavity. It's def intense but it's very interesting to learn. Monday we start tissues in the lab.

Well, I am in my second week of A&P 1. SO far I dont feel overwhelmed. I just feel like I should be spending all my time studying this class but still need to do work in my other two classes. Can anyone tell me how they studied for other classes. This is what I am doing as of today. I study A&P for about 1 1/2 hours. I use my flash cards, quizlet, my online site that comes with book, practice labeling, etc. Then I go to english for about an hour. And then go back to A&P. Does that sound about the right way to go about this. I have decided to stay ahead of the instructor if I can. The good thing is she basically tells us whats going to be on the test. SO any advice as to your study techniques on going back and forth would be great. Thank you !
  22. Hello everyone.. I am taking A&P 1 Math for Health Sciences Eng 101. So far everything is going well. Lots of studying for A&P but Im keeping up so far. Its only been 2 weeks tho lol. I have the coloring book but havent needed to use it yet. That Math is a killer tho.. ugh... Best of luck to everyone..
  23. My syllabus is just about the objectives and what not. My schedule for the term says that we are studying Road Map of the Body... Yes... Good luck to us both.. God knows I'm going to need it..
  24. Hello everyone. I start A&P on Monday. I have got my lab books, textbooks, and bought the coloring book as well. Today the blackboard has opened and the teacher gave us a few power points with safety instructions and lab instruction. Then the third Power Point was of the ear and eye. and OMG.. lol I am so excited I can hardly breathe. I looked at it and had no idea what I was looking at. I know everyone starts out not knowing these things I would think, but is there any tips on what I should do next. Should I print the power point? Am I supposed to remember every part of the ear and eye? Is that why she sent it to me? It was over whelming to look at. Does it get better? Please give me some positive vibes and tell me is this something I should print and study now! I havent been in school and over 10 years so It was a shocker. tia..
  25. Ty. That's the first thing I did. I emailed them and asked. They were both fine with audio recorders and lab and lecture. So that's a plus to me. :)
