Dear Kjm, Congratulations on your entrance exam. Please consider another school. The NCLEX pass rates at Breckinridge are abysmal. Even if you should pass the NCLEX on the first try, you may find that you will be scrutinized more heavily that other applicants by prospective employers-- simply because of the school you went to. The word is out that Breckinridge does a poor job of preparing students to become nurses. Have you considered a community college? They are less expensive than ITT and have better NCLEX pass rates. ITT Breckinridge School of nursing does not have good NCLEX pass rates. The pass rate in 2015 was approximately 56% overall with some schools showing much lower rates (17% at one campus!). States require schools to maintain an 80 or 85% first time NCLEX pass rate. Schools that have poor pass rates are eventually shut down by the state boards of nursing. Breckinridge nursing programs have shut down in the past. Word to the wise before enrolling in a nursing school: check the pass rates! These are posted by state boards of nursing on the internet.
