PA Licensure by Endorsement Application
UPDATE!!! I learned from a classmate of mine who's already an RN here in PA that every state really requires you to purchase the CES Report from the CGFNS if you are a Foreign Graduate Nurse

PA Licensure by Endorsement Application
Hi everybody! I am an newly licensed RN in Maryland. I am seeking for a license here in Pennsylvania by Endorsement and sent my online application for my RN license and a TPP a couple days ago. I spoke to one of the agents from the PA BON last Friday (10/5/18) after being on hold for more than an hour (I know it was ridiculous.) and was not able to ask them some of my concerns. Not really looking forward to call them again. Quick history of my journey is that I graduated with my BSN in the Philippines last 2016. I wasn't able to take the national board exam in my country due to immigration reasons. My family and I had to leave before the scheduled date for the board exam in my country. We moved here in PA and were interested to pursue my nursing career here. I emailed the PA BON and fortunately, they got back to me ASAP. They said that the ONLY way for me to obtain an RN license here in PA is either I apply to another state & transfer it to Pennsylvania OR go back to the Philippines and take the national boards. I made my decision and went for applying a license in MARYLAND. They gave me an application packet for Foreign-Educated Nursing Graduates and I followed every step. Since I am a foreign graduate they asked me to undergo CGFNS - Credentials Evaluation and evaluate my credits from my school if they meet the USA standards. It took me approx. 6 months-1 year to complete everything and was eligible to take the NCLEX. I took the NCLEX last August 29, 2018 and thankfully, PASSED. Now that I passed my boards, I am now eligible to acquire a license here in PA. I checked on my online application and noticed that I only got 4 out of 9 things that were completed. They are asking for a Background Check, Educational Transcripts and a Letter of Good Stand Standing (License Verification). I did the online part for the Background Check and paid the fee of $17 for idk what really. I just did it because it asked me to. There was a part where you can print the Fingerprinting form through their website if you opt out on waiting for them to send you one. So I did that and I honestly didn't do it yet. I checked my application again today and for some weird reason it said "Completed". What does that mean? Do I still have to do it? I'm very confused. Secondly, they are asking for my Educational Transcripts. Should I contact my school to send my transcripts to the PA Board of Nursing OR should I log back in to CGFNS to send an evaluation of my credits. Lastly, about the License Verification. Maryland BON participates on Nursys so I paid $30 for them to verify my license on 10/04/18 and up until now it said "Not Completed" on my online application checklist. Should I call Nursys OR the PA BON about it? ***Additional question, how long does the BON issue your TPP? HOPING TO HEAR BACK FROM PEOPLE WHO ARE IN THE SAME PAGE AS ME. THANK YOU!!! XOXO

HELP! Foreign graduate nurse applying for licensure in MD
Hi everyone! I graduated with my BSN last 2016 in the Philippines. I didn't take my local boards because me and my family moved here in the US. I live in PA and I got a suggestion from my sister that getting my license in CA would be the best idea since it's easier to apply there for people with the same situation as me. So that didn't go well and CA said that I had some insufficiency with my credits. So I decided to just apply for PA since I live in PA. So I did my research on what to do to apply for NCLEX RN. So I did sign up for CGFNS and a Certification Program service. It was pricey so I was hesitant to purchase it. So I emailed the PA BON and explained to her my situation and luckily got a response saying that I can't take my boards in PA just because I don't hold a license in my country (Philippines). They said that the only way I can get a license is if I apply for licensure in another state and have it transferred to PA. So I was doing my research and looking for states (not far from PA) that doesn't necessarily require me to hold a foreign license before I could take the NCLEX. So emailed all states that was closer to me. One of the states that responded was MD. The lady that I talked to was nice enough to send me an application packet along with the steps I need to follow for the application. So they required me to sign myself up for CGFNS and get a Credential Evaluation Service (pricey but cheaper than the Certification Program). I did everything that was asked from me and followed the process. It took me a couple of months to finally get a response from them. I already got an update on my CES report and said it's ready for review. So it was written in the booklet that I need to send my application to MD BON after I pass the Oral English Test and get a "ready for review" note on my CES report. So I took the ILA-OPI and passed. So now I have to send the application form. As I was filling up the original application form, I had troubles with some items and I had to call BON for it. Now the problem started here. Believe me but I contacted them like two to three times a week and they can't help me. The main hotline that I call always transfer me to somebody who doesn't pick up the phone. I left a couple of voicemail messages to different people and nobody cared to call me back. I just read a couple of MD BON Horror stories here complaining about their (MD-BON)service and I was just shocked knowing I'm not the only one. Also, I sent an email to the lady who sent me the packet regarding my concern. I didn't get any response yet. Now I feel like this is really holding me back. I am planning to take the NCLEX before the end of the year. Hopefully any of you guys could give some advice and tips regarding my situation. Thank you very much for your time. God bless!

ILA OPI Information
Thank you everyone for your help! I just took mine last Oct 14 and got the result on Oct 17 through an expedited score report. I passed! The interviewer was very nice and he surely made me comfortable while talking to him. For those people who didn't take it yet, don't be worried! If you are confident on whatever you are saying, you're safe to pass! God bless! :)

Hi @neverlands, RN. I am planning to take my OPI in Maryland. I was wondering if you have an idea if they provide the testing place or they set choices. I am from Pennsylvania and I'm heading to MD just for this test. Thank you so much for your help!

Foreign student nurse applying for licensure in CA
Hello all! I am a foreign nurse educated in the Philippines with my BSN. I am seeking licensure in CA. I submitted my paperwork mid June and my check got cashed first week of August. I've never heard anything from CA. They did say that the processing takes 10-12 weeks. Also, my credentials was sent to me by my school in a sealed envelope. Should I mail this to CA? Or wait for them to ask for it? What else should I do now while waiting to hear from CA? I also read about registering for Pearson Vue and paying the fee while waiting to hear from the board. Appreciate any suggestions or advice. Looking forward to hear from you all in a similar situation.

California BON application
Hey! I applied around mid July. They already accepted my application and I'm still waiting for their response through snail mail. After that, they are sending me the list of requirements I have to pass.
