Pearson Vue trick
Hi all, Took the nclex-rn Tuesday. A couple classmates also took the test at the same time. We went home and tried the Pearson vie trick. It worked for both of them, they got the good pop up. I, on the otherhand, didn't. I got to step 2 of 3 on the Pearson website. It just said "please proceed with purchase... " I used my credit card with wrong exp. I did it correctly. I was devastated. I read and read online about how many people did this trick and it predicted it correctly. I cried. I think the point is, don't try it. It doesn't work for everyone. If you've ever taken statistics, I'm sure what you read on blogs about this trick only gets talked about when it works. I'm here to say it's bs. It didn't work for me and I wish I would have just waited until the next day to see my results. Best, Becca

Fall 2017 Century College (or MANE) Applicants out there?
There were about 60 admitted and 13 LPNs admitted. I have class 4 days a week, 2 of which are clinicals. I would recommend getting any A &P out of the way so you don't have to do that with nursing classes!

Fall 2017 Century College (or MANE) Applicants out there?
Hi, I am a first semester NHCC student in the nursing program. I was accepted with a 3.46 GPA and a 82% on TEAS. I think the average TEAS for our cohort was about 78%, I think you have a good chance!

Ethics help!
I currently am a student and am learning about complementary and alternative medicine aka CAM. You could always recommend some ideas like Reiki, Healing Touch, massage therapy, yoga, etc. which they could either talk to a doctor or go to someone certified to do it. It definitely has a lot of benefits. My friend who is a pediatric oncology doctor said in his unit they use a lot of those therapies and he also said that it was very beneficial! Here is a link to more about CAM therapies: Complementary and Alternative Therapies in Nursing Education: Trends and Issues

Spring 2017 MANE programs
Hi all! I was accepted to Century, NHCC and IHCC. I am deciding between Century and NHCC. I'm unsure which one is best for me. They both are same distance from me but how do I decide which one is the best choice? I heard the NHCC is a better and more challenging school but that's just from looking on allnurses.com. Help! Thanks in advance! Becca
