Hello future student nurses! GGBANS, a nursing and pre-nursing student club at GGC, has a Facebook, Instagram, and website if you are interested. It doesn't cost any money and is a great way to network with other nursing students and the staff. We have a meeting on November 28th at 12:15-1pm in the Skills Lab. I hope you all can make it!

I sent you a PM (I'm not sure if you can message back) but you will have class everyday at 8am. If it's like mine was, you will have wellness and illness 1 Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, health assessment on Wednesday, professional nursing on thursday at 1pm, and nursing research on Friday. When the semester progresses you will have clinicals on Monday or Tuesday and skills lab the other day.

I don't mind answering at all! 1. since you got your acceptance letter i don't think this is necessary to answer! Congrats on getting in. It is a great honor to be accepted to this program. 2. You can look up your schedule online. The advisors will sign you up for classes once everyone accepts their spot and the deadline ends. You will be taking Wellness and Illness 1 (this includes clinicals), Health Assessment, Professional Nursing and Nursing Research 3. I have some time, but I feel like anytime used to do something else other than studying is wasted time. I used to work full time before the program but now I only work twice a month. It is doable. I have a handful of classmates who work and go to school fulltime- they are amazing! 4. I am studying now. I cant put an hour limit on it because I study before class, during class, and after class. It is an ongoing thing like breathing honestly. If I'm not studying, I am eating or sleeping. It is something that is really hard at first but easily becomes second nature! Despite being told I wouldn't be accepted into the program, I apparently was. I have formally declined my seat as I have been accepted elsewhere. Goood luck to whoever gets accepted from the waitlist!

i just checked my student email and i didnt get an email on there oddly enough. im not complaining though

I was sent an email at 3:25 pm to my personal email. It sends it as a document you have to open but the main message said "congratulations!" at the bottom of it

If you applied recently you're fine

I haven't ever heard of that and was never told that by an advisor. There's no indications or holds on my account. Knowing about it now it makes sense but there was no way for me to know. There's no way to appeal it since the committee has already made their decisions

I haven't been "active" in 3 semesters (I'm a transfer student) and there's apparently a rule that says if you aren't you're inactive. And I asked why it was possible for me to apply so they just now put in a safeguard for students who need to reapply. My owl Express says I'm an active student though so I'm just not sure how I was supposed to know

The committee has met so it's just a matter of time. Ksu screwed me over again by just now telling me I wasn't an active student so good luck to everyone else.

It is either this week or next week. I was told before October

Do we get emails or letters for the program?

Last spring they accidentally sent out an email of the acceptance/denial templates to a handful of students lol

I applied to GGC and if I don't get into either than I'll send my application to GSU

They will send it to your student email first and then your regular email shortly after. They don't send letters anymore
