I'm sorry if I offended anyone. I was justing giving this group the thoughts of a perspective hospital employer. I have no beef with Excelsior's graduates. It just didn't workd out for me. On the other hand, if I had been an Excelsior RN grad, by the way she talked, I would be banned from applying to a LARGE number of hospitals in Cali. As a matter of fact, the way she talked, no hospital in Cali would even consider employing an Excelsior RN grad.

It was funny. I was on an airplane. I talked with a nurse who works as a Recruiter for Stanford Hospital. At length we discussed Excelsior College. Basically she laughed at the school. She mentioned that no hospital in California would even consider a Excelsior grad due to the fact there are no clinicals involved. Glad I went through a community college to get my RN. Just my thoughts

I bet you miss the North Bay!!!!!!!!! The North Bay rocks. Except its cold majority of the time. Either it's too hot or to cold. Just got back to SF today and I plan to be back in Arizona in a week. EBSN charges 27,000 while Apollo Charges 43,000. Both are about 2 miles apart from each other. The building that Apollo retains looks great. But the price is what I'm looking at!!! $13,000 is a big difference. Your right, the program is intense. I wonder if ESBN ADN Nursing Licsense can transfer back to California when I return. Since you live in the area, I'll take your advise and keep an open mind and not judge the school by it's area. On a personal note, do you miss Cali?

It's cool. Yes I'm from San Francisco getting moved to Phoenix. The bay area is in now way safe. I used to Live in an area in SF named Richmond. That was a bad area. The school I saw yesterday in Phoenix kinda looked like Richmond in California. Have you been to that school and checked it out yourself. Thanks

I went their yesterday to visit the campus. Well it wasn't a campus. It was a building connected to RHB highschool with convient stores located on the sides. I didn't feel safe. The area kinda looked shady. Has anyone ever went to the Tucson location. What are your feelings about that location. FYI, I not saying anything bad about their education. I'm just talking about the location. If I'm going to spend $27,000, I want to feel safe.

I failed NC1 five times at EC. Do not want to blow it. Therefore I'm looking for another college where i can take NC1 and transfer the credit to Excelsior. Thanks

Mark, I have taken those practice exams and scored an 80. I have memorized them in hopes that some of the questions would appear. As for the breakdown, each time its different. This is stressing when you dont know what to do. carl

Hello, First of all, everyone here has a story. Mine is no different. Struggling student with other issues. Here's the problem. I'm three nursing concepts away from finishing my degree. Unfortuantely I'm having SERIOUS problems with Nusring Concepts 1!! I'm so piss to say that I have failed this exam 5 times and only have 1 more chance to pass before I am remove from the nusring program:bluecry1: . I have no idea whats going on. I have memorized nc1 notes, books, etc. Everytime I recieved an "D". I am a lost for words. I cn figue it out since all the other exams I have scored an A or B. Does anyone have any suggestions??? Does anyone know of other distance learning colleges that I can take NC1 without risking my enrollment with Excelsior? Should I just count my losses and cease my enrollment? Thank you for any sugguestions The Family Guy
