  1. CONGRATULATIONS! Whoo Hoo!! See you in January!
  2. I have a friend of a friend get an acceptance call the day after his interview! I see a trend here....everyone that they have called the day after their interview has taken the GRE and has scored well above a 300...
  3. For those that are waitlisted.... Let me know when you get in! I would love to meet everyone!
  4. We have to reply by Sept 7th! My fingers are crossed for everyone!
  5. I got ACCEPTED! Whoo Hooo! Yes! Keep focused everyone!!
  6. Most people will not answer these questions because at this point, everyone is seen to be in competition. However, what most people don't understand is that every interview is different. Some advice that I have received is to know your specialty! If you have worked in a CICU or a CVICU, know everything cardiac (everything is game... at least what you have on your resume or in your personal statement). Same thing goes for Neuro ICU; know your specialty! Know the medications you've used in your specialty, why they are used, alternatives, etc. Also, definitely review the general questions, "Tell us about yourself", "Why do you want to be a CRNA?", "Why do you want to come to this school?", etc. As Sgriffith said above, definitely know a story about a difficult patient and how you overcame the situation, a time where you made a mistake and how you resolved it, strengths, weaknesses, know about your transcripts and be prepared to explain poor grades, volunteer work, CRNA shadowing, etc. Also, research the school!! There is a lot of good material online. Do a Google search or a Youtube search. Good Luck everyone!!
  7. From reading previous threads, interviews were held in September. So another week or so before we start hearing anything regarding interviews (& thats if they follow the same road map). But everything is up in the air due to COVID.
  8. I heard that they will be interviewing all throughout August. I am actually hoping they are still calling people for interviews as well; I have a friend that is still waiting too. I'm guessing we are not to hear anything about final decisions until early-mid September
  9. Yes. School seems great! I applied because I loved Boston while on a travel contract. I have a friend also that I'm hoping gets a chance to interview. Hang in there guys! Good Luck everyone!!
  10. Interview staff stated that interviews will continue throughout all of August. Good luck to everyone! Its going to be a long wait for decisions....
  11. I think they will start reviewing applications now. I don't think we'll hear anything regarding interviews until the deadline has come and gone.
  12. I didn't think we'd hear anything until after the deadline. Do they give early interviews and decisions?
  13. From a previous post last year, applicants received an invitation to interview the second week of September. So, still a little ways to go if they follow the same trend.
  14. Sounds interesting... I haven't heard anything about a "video" they sent. But I'm glad someone has the scoop! Anyone know anything about the interview? Personal? Clinical?
  15. I have been hoping to hear back from anyone with helpful info. Have you heard anything new?
  16. Does anyone know how many applicants they are interviewing this year?
  17. Not yet!! Applying to a few others, not on NursingCAS before that deadline. Good Luck!
  18. I heard not until after Jul. 1st (Maybe after the holiday). UPMC has to go through applications and then Gannon University goes through applications too to choose the right candidates. This was a last min app; but it was the first deadline of all the schools that I am currently applying too.
  19. I am in the process of applying as well. Good luck to everyone!
  20. CONGRATS to everyone who was accepted last year!! Any tips on the interview?
  21. I agree! I am from the U.S. so I did not have to go through such a rough process (I did have to take the NCLEX). But I heard, somewhere here in allnurses, that Foreign nurses do not receive a nursing licensure in the U.S. in no less than 5 years! It is a very long and trying process, but here in the U.S. RNs are looked highly upon and are paid well. Good luck to your friend. I would suggest she keeps going, because once you have the license, you can always keep it current!
  22. Hi Jacquelineleigh! Congrats to you as well! I have not scheduled my exam as of yet. You? I know I will soon... I just can't pry my fingers off the cash yet! Hahaha. Have you begun to review? I'm looking for someone/people to review with... if anyone is interested. I am currently in the U.S. but I'm willing to use Skype, Whatsapp groups, etc (although I do NOT have Facebook). Then maybe we can meet up in the U.K. down the road.... DM me if interested!
  23. There is a whole thread about different experiences with the OSCE and how/why people have failed. If you search the forums you will most likely find it. I try to stay up to date with the different reasons people failed, just so i can learn from others. However, I plan to take the OSCE in Jan 2018 and I am reviewing like crazy. My only advice is to practice, practice, practice. I think most people mess up because of nerves. But if you practice so many times, you should not have anything to worry about. I'm from the U.S. and am also currently applying to the AHPRA in Sydney as well. Hopefully it goes smoother than the NMC application process! Good Luck!
  24. I have emailed you! Good luck! Please pay it forward
