  1. I’m looking at NP schools and the hospital I work at will not hire NP from online schools. Is Samford University FNP/ENP Program considered online? They have week long intensives at the school each semester. Another school I looked at that’s local (Florida Southern College FNP) meets only once a week for a few hours.
  2. Thank you for responding, I am applying to the FNP/ENP program that starts in Jan 2021 and a local FNP only program that starts in Sept 2020. and I am afraid to turn down the Florida Southern program and then get denied for Samford. How big is your class?
  3. Did you get in ? I am applying to the 2021 cohort and was looking for some information if you have the time. Such as how long after you applied were you notified?
  4. I just applied and have a choice between online or in-person interviews. Which did you choose and what were the interview questions like?
  5. Does anyone/RN work FT nights at AdventHealth in Florida that can tell me what the night shift differential is? I know that if you are hired into FT days the night shift diff is 15% and evening is 13%. I was just wanting to know if the shift diff is higher if you are permanent nights. I tried calling HR but no one ever answers
  6. I took the test yesterday on 30th, I tried the PVT a few hours later and it worked. This morning I saw my license on the Board of Nursing. My NCLEX results are still not available yet, but does it matter? What do the results tell you, is it just pass/fail or does it tell how you did etc? I am expecting the 48hrs for quick results to be up tomorrow or by Monday but I am contemplating whether it is worth paying for the quick results.
  7. How soon after you take the test can you try doing the PVT? Is it immediate or do you have to wait a few hours?
  8. Of course, it's sarcasm. LOL
  9. Female in nursing are probably the most promiscuous of any field. Sleep with a few, get a reputation as a ladies man. Problem solved.
  10. I am about finished with my A&P course I took online. Wow, I wish I did all my pre-reqs that way. It was intense and at fast pace, but working from home was a delight. I just have my final left and I've got a 97% in the class so far. I would definitely recommend this class to anyone with busy lifestyle, but you need to be mature enough to do the work.
  11. Is anyone here going to Keiser University in Lakeland that can tell me the manufacture of the scrubs they sell at the book store? I guess any of the campuses will be fine. I live far away from the campus and I don't know what size scrubs I need and I was going to go to a local uniform shop and try on those scrub tops and buy bottoms there. Since the tops are embroidered you have to buy the tops from them, but the pants can any brand as long as navy blue. I don't want to drive down to find out they don't have my size and I would still need to order it. Thanks
  12. Future_GA_nurse, how is class going? I am thinking of doing A&PII online in few weeks vs the in class course.
  13. I need to retake A&P II because I earned a C when I took it a few years ago. I need to get at least a B and Keiser University in Florida offers both online and in-class options. The class spans a month from 9-1 in class M-F. For the online course, you would take the quizzes, tests and labs online. Has anyone taken the online course? Would you recommend it or is in-class the better way to go. If you did take it online, how are the tests and did you see any advantages. Thank you all
