  1. if someone could email it to me also i would appreciate it :) [email protected]
  2. You are able to print at school, but it is not free. You have to buy a print card, but the machine for it is in the same room as the printers.
  3. The nameplate is NOT optional, You have to order it at the bookstore. I ordered two to be careful since I do lose things. Also, I do suggest reading the textbooks (go over the sections covered in lecture-dont read everything!) But I do think that I have done fine with older editions. I have just had to figure out which chapter lines up to theirs. If it is a money issue, definitely look into getting books from previous students. I did, and got a great deal on mine.
  4. If you can get the ID earlier than orientation, it would be better. You get the ID at the tower building, not the actual school. There will be alot of people trying to get their ID's after orientation.
  5. The lot next to the school is tiny! It is not for us to use on a daily basis, and it is EXPENSIVE.
  6. They come often. I think that I've heard that the ride from south lot to the school on the shuttle is 10 minutes. The time that Ive heard is inconvienent is on Mondays when we have a Health assessment test, and we have to be at the school at 7 am to start the test at 7, you have to be at the lot early, since the shuttles dont run as often before 7. So, I think they suggest you make it to the lot by 6 am. Also, depending on when you get your clinicals, the shuttle doesnt run normally on Saturday, so if you have a clinical in the Med Center on Saturday, you have to figure out parking. I have heard people who are happy with parking at the lot. I also know a lot of classmates who ride the bus to school, or do a park and ride from katy.
  7. There is a parking garage (#17) that is real close to the school that I park in. It is a 5 minute walk. You arrange the parking fee thru the TMC parking website. They offer a student cost of $96 per month after you send them a copy fo your student id. I prefer the parking garage so that I dont have to shuttle in to the school.
  8. Yea!!! I am so glad you got in this time AHawkins!!!!
  9. Congratulations to all who have been accepted so far! And to those still waiting, dont get down. I am currently in my first semester at UTHealth. I look forward to meeting some of you next semester
  10. I agree with everything that Sophie has said....it is intense, but very doable!!!!
  11. no, I never saw anything like that
  12. I feel for y'all, I remember how it felt waiting for the notifications last semester! I wish y'all good luck, and I know it is hard, but try to concentrate on your classes and not when they will send notifications! It wont help any anyways :) I have a feeling that it will be next week at the earliest
  13. AHawkins, My transcript didnt come off until I submitted my final transcript from HCC. It wasnt until about 3 weeks before the start of the semester. It didnt affect me starting the semester on time.
  14. Just popping my head in to say hi to everyone and wish y'all good luck! If you are accepted, try to get some rest before classes start....It starts out fast and just keeps getting more intense!
  15. I think that they like a higher CT and AP score on the HESI. On their website they had something that said that the AP score is something they look at.
  16. .has anyone else moved off the wait list?
  17. KeyP, Did you have any luck finding a chemistry course for the winter mini-mester?
  18. My original plan was to go for my ADN, but each semester that I took a science pre-req I also took a general pre-req. Next thing I knew, I had all of my pre-reqs for the ADN and the BSN programs, so I applied to both. I got into both! I will be doing the BSN program. Luckily, we have the money put aside for my tuition, so we will not be incurring debt for me to go to school.
  19. What are the requirements for scrubs and shoes? Colors, styles, etc.... When do we get the book lists? supply lists? any other helpful hints for incoming students?
  20. My situation is different than Cash2017. I have been a part-time student with a full time job. I have only attended community college, taking regular classes, not involved in the honors college. I do have a good GPA (3.89 prereq, 4.0 science, but only a 3.565 overall). I do not a lot of extra electives, especially in the sciences. So really, I have no clue what they are really looking for. Both of us were accepted, but with completely different backgrounds.
  21. I really will not understand if you do not get in AHawkins....your stats are awesome! Worse case scenario, apply for summer, and I can be there to give you advice and help :)
  22. They no longer require College Algebra. I know TWU hasn't for years. UTHealth requires Stats. I also took a quantative math ( HCC calls it Math for Liberal Arts) Only outstanding classes I have are Philosophy (finished in the first 8 weeks) and 4 hours of Chemistry--- I am finishing up lecture and lab classes at his semester.... halfway to the end :)
  23. Yes, you can back out of UTMB, but will lose their deposit. Wow! Accepted to all 3!! What are your stats?
  24. yes! We will be graduating May 2018! I will continue to think good thoughts for all of you that are still awaiting your good news! I am hoping to be classmates with everyone that I have gotten to know on here.
  25. I actually did the drug test and background thru Castlebranch. I did not finish my immunizations. I think that a month should be find if you have your shots. I will not be attending HCC Coleman. I found out yesterday that I got accepted to UTHSC SON BSN! I will be declining my spot with HCC on Monday. Good Luck to all of you!
