  1. YEAH FRONTIER! It's a bummer you spent the time and money to apply (and congratulations on getting in), but if you don't follow your dreams you'll regret it. Hope our waiting goes quickly!!!
  2. That's great that they're both after this round of admissions for Frontier!! You won't be wasting time and money applying to other programs while you're still waiting to hear from Frontier!
  3. VickyCS2001, did you apply to any other programs yet?
  4. JUST APPLIED TO CLASS #157 TODAY!!! AHHHHH!!! Let the waiting commence!
  5. WHOOOOOHOOOOOO gatordreams and Chanceygrl!!! Let us know when you two hear something!!! VickyCS2001, I don't personally know anyone who has gone to those programs, but I'm sure someone on allnurses has!!!
  6. Good luck VickyCS2001!!! I'm sending my #157 packet out next week!!!! So excited for us!!!
  7. I felt like that for a little while, and then the stress from not yet receiving our ATT set in, and I've replaced nursing school stress with studying for NCLEX (and impatiently waiting for ATT) stress. We graduated on May 20th and still have yet to hear a word from the NJ BON.
  8. Hi VickyCS2001!!! I may end up doing this too! I think a lot of the CEUs will overlap and count for both, so holding both certifications is probably not that difficult. :) I'm really hoping all my stuff comes through in time so I can apply to 157. I'm so excited to finally be applying to the program I've wanted to be in all along- I went to nursing school just so I could become a nurse-midwife. Yay for loving mamas and babies!
  9. Hi everyone! I'm hoping to apply to class #157, but will apply to #155 if my application comes together in time! I started a thread for class #157 hopefuls if anyone else is interested in applying to that class (called Frontier Nursing University Class #157)! Come introduce yourself so we can support each other on the journey! I'm so excited to apply- I've been reading these posts for Frontier on allnurses for YEARS, and now it's finally our turn to come together and wait for our acceptance emails!!!
  10. Hi everyone! I'm hoping to connect with others who are applying this summer to Frontier Nursing University's Class #157! I had hoped to apply to Class #155, but it looks like some parts of my application may not be ready to submit until later in the summer. A little bit about me: I just graduated from my BSN program, and am currently waiting for my ATT so I can finally schedule my NCLEX! Prior to nursing school, I was a birth and postpartum doula and childbirth educator for 6 years, and I'm very excited to expand my scope of practice as a certified nurse-midwife! While in my BSN program I conducted original research exploring the relationship between interpersonal processes of care as exhibited by the primary care provider, and the level of maternal satisfaction with the birthing experience, and had a ton of fun presenting at regional and national conferences (next up are NNPS in Keystone, and MANA in Atlanta)! The abstract was published in Nursing Research and I've submitted the morificecript to The Journal of Midwifery & Women's Health, and am currently waiting to hear back about its publication!! If you can't tell, I'm a HUGE research nerd. FNU Class #157 Hopefuls: introduce yourselves so we can form a community and wait to hear about our acceptances together!!!
