CRNA
So less than a year ago I posted on here with a moment to just vent my frustration with the negativity sent my way. I am happy to announce I was accepted in a program and I start next year. This was after hearing day one from every and anyone how I should keep waiting. I can say the fight is within me and knowing we are not all made equal will either make or break you. Only you know your strength to either fight or just give up. Good luck to anyone else hoping to be a CRNA and they can possible read this one day and realize a no is never the end of the world.

RN considering CRNA school
Look at a site named all CRNA. They stay pretty up to date with the current 116 (I think this is right) schools that are now accredited. You can apply once you are off orientation for some schools allowing you to time it for specific deadlines. Its just a matter of having that one year. Honestly many people come on here and discourage others, I say go for it. I have had people applying to schools I am applying and still encourage them. All the schools can do is say no, you are in the system and you try again. As for in state if that's what works now go for it. That site will give deadlines, what is needed specific to each school and so on. Just make sure you have the minimum, your make and break will be in the interview. Each program is different. Some have contacted me wanting me to retake the GRE for example, while for others its just fine. So again know the program and what they want and try to give them what they are asking for. Any questions feel free to email me along2708 at gmail.

Did your CRNA program have a Gross dissection lab?
It just dawned on me that I have watched quite a few of your videos on youtube. My favorite was the 7 types. I was the hated one that didn't study and passed all my exams during nursing school. Then again I have always been laid back lol. Anyway good work man funny stuff.

Congrats, I got an interview as well. Think we are applying to the same program after looking at your other thread. Email me [email protected] and will give an update on the interview process. We might eventually become classmates and would be funny if we do after all this time. Small world

Hi goalieccrn, congrats and I too got an interview coming up. Did you go to their gran rounds? I was told about it, but could not get the time off to go. Also what area are you? I got a friend who graduated from the program a year ago and he said its really laid back. If you have any questions feel free to ask. I think anyway I can help I will since we may end up being classmates.

Anyone applied to St Mary's
I too applied to St marys and actually I have done the same with searcing for threads. I found many people getting denied and one or two who were already in the program willing to get accepted. All I can say is each year is different and dont give up. Apply to many schools. As for myself, I recently got the greenlight to interview at another college, actually closer to me with stricter standards. I dont even think I am that competitive with numbers, but they look at the whole not just numbers on a paper. I volunteer, teach classes at my hospital and work on more than just having a great GPA.

CRNA
It was more of a rant lol. I just get frustrated with the negativity sent out when someone tries to further themselves. We are not made equally. Some people need 6 years, others need 6 months. As they saw, its how you act when you finally see that zebra.
