Hi all, I am a senior student and will be doing by IP placement in the NICU. I was wondering if any other NICU nursing students or current/past NICU nurses could share their brains with me. I tried researching some myself but found a lot online are very overwhelming and busy. I really appreciate any and all help!

gere7404 thank you for the info! Do you know how we obtain that information? Will it be mailed out to us, discussed at orientation or do I need to look it up on the OHSU SoN website? I will be attending the Portland campus!

Do you think OHSU will be providing stethoscopes and scrubs or should we get these prior to orientation?

Hi all, I received an interview email with OHSU Portland campus on St. Patty's Day! My interview is April 20th! I am so excited and so nervous! I also received an email April 24th from MHCC for an interview that is on April 12th! I havent heard back from CCC or PCC yet, has anyone else? Does anyone have any suggestions for interviews at either OHSU or MHCC? Good luck to everyone!!

Congratulations! I applied last year for PCC but didnt get in. I hadnt finished micro yet and I had a B in both A&P II and A&P III. I now have everything completed, all at PCC, with all A's except A&P II, I still have a B. How was your proctored essay? Do you have any advice for me this coming round?

Hi Pdxstudent, Thank you for that advice, I am calling OHSU right now to see what they say. I do not have a degree yet unfortunately so I think I will need to take them. It would be nice to take them now, so when I am in the nursing program I can concentrate on those classes independently. Are you starting PCC's nursing program this fall or are you working on pre-reqs?

Hi all, I am new to this site and through all the searching, I couldnt find an established feed that answers my questions. I am currently applying to PCC, MHCC and CCC here in Oregon for the nursing programs and then finish my BSN at OHSU. If I get accepted it wouldn't start until Fall of 2017. In the mean time I was going to take the upper division classes required for the BSN. Would this be ok to do or is it too early? Also I was going to apply to PSU for these, would I just take random upper division classes to fulfill the 15 required credits? I was planning on taking psychology. Has anyone already finished theirs and have some advice for me? Any advice or guidance is greatly appreciated!
