  1. You must have at some point in your career at the very least "liked" something about nursing. It sounds like you've lost your focus and passion for life, much less nursing. You are obviously depressed and your depression may have nothing to do with nursing but that depression has now bled into your feelings about nursing. Regardless, it would behoove you to seek therapy counseling. Life is too short to continue on like this especially for 12 years. Maybe go and find something that will stir a spark for life again and possibly your feelings about your career may change. Either way, good luck to you.
  2. I'm not sure about that but I was told we'll have priority registration so that should help a bit with planning. Hope that helps!
  3. I am sorry you're going through this. Are you certain that your application was received? Your scores were high. Is it possible that your application was not received or your packet was incomplete? Good luck to you!
  4. Good luck to you!! Continue taking your prerequisites and I have no doubt you'll get in!
  5. I second that!!
  6. CONGRATULATIONS!!!! See you at orientation!!!
  7. Nzaghar1, I'm rooting for you!!!! I know your last name starts with a "Z" so I'm going to stand by til we hear you got accepted too!
  8. I just got my email.....I GOT IN!!!!!
  9. Nothing yet....
  10. So far it's definitely looking like it's alphabetical order....
  11. Congratulations!!!!! BTW, what letter does your last name begin with?
  12. Thank you for the glimmer of hope!!!
  13. Mine is "M"...
  14. No emails yet... I wonder if they are sending out the "rejection" letters today as well?
  15. Congrats Vera123!!! I got a 48 on my application score too but still don't have an email from them. I'm second guessing myself now....maybe they didn't accept my classes that transferred ? Who knows?? Anyway, conratulations!! Was your email a mass email? Do you know if that is? Thanks!
  16. Thank you to nzaghar1 for posting here the updates from CPCC!! I am grateful that they are at least posting the updates to their website so we are not totally out of the loop! Yes, it's frustrating that the dates keep getting pushed back especially when we have contingency plans that are hinged on whether or not we get accepted to CPCC! Let's keep our hopes high and our attitudes positive!! According to the update, only three more days to go before we hear something! We've made it this far and we'll be fine for another few days! Good luck to all!! And remember...you never know who may be reading our threads. Did anyone notice the lawsuit filed against a handful of all nurses posters? Be careful what we post! We will be entering a professional field so we may as well practice being professional in a professional's forum! Good luck again, all!!
  17. Just say, "I'm so happy for you guys! It sounds like you are happy with the choices you made. I'm happy with my choice too and I hope you guys can be happy for me!"
  18. I'm sorry you've had such terrible experiences. It is possible that the SWs are bound by legalities to not recommend one nursing home over another. For example, if they recommended one nursing home over another, they could get sued by the family if the facility ended up not meeting the family's expectations. They could also get sued by nursing facilities if it can be proven that they are endorsing one facility over another. I'm sure the list goes on. In this regard, they have to be impartial and allow the families to decide for themselves the facility that best suits the family's needs.
  19. I hear your hesitation and self doubt but you say you have always been interested in the medical field. That puts you ahead of the game somewhat. Just know that getting your nursing degree can be a stepping stone to other areas in the medical field. The thing I love about nursing is that it can be very dynamic. You can get your degree and go on to pursue a more specialized type of nursing or venture elsewhere in the medical field because a lot of the classes may overlap. You never have to stay where you're at. I hope this helps!
  20. Hi nzaghar1! I just saw your PM to me and tried to respond to you but I'm disabled from doing so (until I've responded to 15 topics or more). Anyway, I hope I meet you soon at orientation! I'm keeping a positive attitude that we'll all get in!
  21. Reading 88.1 Math 90 Teas overall 82 Application score 48 Fingers crossed...good luck everyone!!
  22. Hope we hear something soon. Granted it's been only a little over a week since the application deadline but it would be a nice surprise to hear something in the next week or so! Good luck everyone!!
  23. I got an email confirmation that my application, which was emailed, was received. That was the last communication I received.
  24. Hope to meet you at orientation once we get accepted! Countdown til we get our letters!
  25. Great scores!!! Good luck and hope to meet you soon!!
